Chapter 6 - 005 all get out of here
"Let go of me, you little wretch!" Chen Guilan struggled, her expression terrifying, like a full-blown shrew. "What are you doing? Are you rebelling? Are you trying to turn the world upside down?"
"What am I doing? I'm hitting you." Tian Sangsang said lightly, a cold gleam flashing in her eyes. She raised her hand and, without hesitation, gave Chen Guilan two slaps. Her strength was not to be underestimated—even though she was unwell, the two strikes left Chen Guilan, a brawny rural woman, staggering sideways.
"Mom!" Tian Tian screamed, rushing to help the fallen Chen Guilan. Tears streamed down her face as she looked at Tian Sangsang and weakly accused her, "Cousin, how can you hit someone? This is completely unreasonable! How can you be so disrespectful to your elders?!"
"Now you're questioning how I can behave like this? Where were you earlier? Your mom can hit me, but I have to just take it?" Tian Sangsang couldn't stand her pitiful demeanor. If Sangsang wasn't wrong, she definitely saw a sinister glint flash through Tian Tian's eyes.
Chen Guilan pushed her daughter aside. No one had ever humiliated her like this. She stood up, ready to attack Tian Sangsang again.
Tian Sangsang took a step forward, standing tall with her chest puffed out. Luckily, the original body she inhabited was a hefty one—broad and imposing. Her glare was enough to intimidate, and paired with her fierce expression, she truly looked like a village tyrant.
Granny Zhong arrived with Meng Shuyan, just in time to see a crowd gathered at Tian Sangsang's door.
"Make way, everyone, make way." Granny Zhong squeezed through, carrying Meng Shuyan.
Granny Zhong set Meng Shuyan down, her face crinkling with concern. "Tian Sangsang's wife, what's going on here? Why is everyone gathered around?"
