Chapter 267 She Doesn’t Feel Secure
An Junxi’s car returned to the building’s parking lot. Xiao Liu suddenly asked her, "Young Madam, is your phone out of battery?"
An Junxi remembered that she had turned off her phone, "No, what’s the matter?"
"President Gu called me during the day and asked where you were."
"What time is it now?"
Xiao Liu glanced at the time, "It’s almost seven."
An Junxi quickly grabbed her things and went upstairs. It was already so late!
She had said she would be out for two hours, who knew she’d end up shopping with her senior schoolmate Miao Yan until so late. Ai Xi must be looking for her mom by now.
An Junxi blamed herself in her heart, she shouldn’t have lost track of time, she really felt sorry for her child.
Walking into the house, the living room was filled with things brought over from the mall. Gu Yikun was sitting on the sofa waiting for her, clearly not in a good mood.

She walked over gently. Ai Xi was asleep, her little face flushed red, and there were still tears on her eyelashes.
Had the child been crying? Why was she crying, was she looking for her mother?
An Junxi felt a deep sense of guilt. She stroked the child’s soft hair lightly and thought, Ai Xi, it’s mommy’s fault.
Liang Huiyun looked at her with disappointed eyes and whispered, "Don’t know how to be a mother, but you’re very enthusiastic about spending money." The phone couldn’t be reached; the child cried all night and only fell asleep after much effort.
"I’m sorry," An Junxi sincerely apologized, it was her mistake.
Liang Huiyun’s voice was sarcastic, "Why apologize to me? You don’t even care enough about your own daughter. Yi Ke came home and saw the child crying nonstop, you don’t know how heartbroken he was."
An Junxi was also heartbroken. She carried her daughter for ten months, how could she not be heartbroken?
Gu Aixi’s little chubby hand moved in her sleep, "Mommy."
An Junxi quickly held her daughter’s hand, "Ai Xi, be good, mommy is here."
Gu Aixi slept restlessly and soon woke up. Seeing An Junxi right in front of her, she opened her mouth wide and started crying, "Want mommy."
Liang Huiyun felt extremely distressed, "She hasn’t slept long, hurry and soothe her."

Liang Huiyun stood up. Grandma could never compare to mommy, "I’m leaving now."
An Junxi carried the child out. She went to the nearby room where Gu Jinxiu was doing homework, "Jin Xiu, grandma is leaving, come out to say goodbye."
Gu Jinxiu tugged at her clothes, "Mommy, did you go play today?"
An Junxi brushed it off, "Just went out to buy some things."
They walked out to the living room. Liang Huiyun said to Gu Yikun, "You two need to communicate properly, don’t let it affect the children."
An Junxi looked at Gu Yikun’s gloomy face. She felt a bit guilty but then thought, she lost track of time because she was upset with him.
She suppressed her guilt, didn’t look at Gu Yikun, and said to her daughter, "Say goodbye to grandma."
Gu Jinxiu waved to grandma, reminding her, "Grandma, call me when you get home!"
Gu Aixi also sweetly blew a kiss to grandma. After spending the whole afternoon with her, she wasn’t as resistant to grandma anymore, "Nai Nai, bye-bye!"
Liang Huiyun felt as sweet as honey looking at her grandchildren, "So well-behaved, you all must be good."
After Liang Huiyun left, An Junxi told Gu Jinxiu to go back to his room to do homework, "I’ll put your sister to sleep, you do your homework yourself."

An Junxi and Gu Jinxiu both laughed. Gu Jinxiu kissed his sister, "How did you learn to praise me?"

They played for a while, then Gu Jinxiu went back to his room to continue his homework. An Junxi took the child upstairs, leaving Gu Yikun in the living room.
Gu Yikun couldn’t understand why she was giving him the silent treatment today. She went out without saying a word, lost track of time, and even had her phone turned off. Shouldn’t he be the one to be angry?
He went upstairs. An Junxi was playing with their daughter on the bed. When Gu Aixi saw her dad coming in, she stood up and called him, "Daddy, hug."
Gu Yikun went to hug his daughter. An Junxi got off the bed and went into the bathroom with her sleepwear, without saying a word to him.
Gu Yikun noticed her bad temper; he didn’t want to bow his head either. Didn’t she think he’d be worried when she didn’t answer her phone?

An Junxi came out after her bath. She sat at the dressing table to blow-dry her hair. Gu Yikun was making milk for their daughter.
She dried her hair, put down the hairdryer, and Gu Yikun said, "Come over here. I want to talk to you."
An Junxi didn’t want to argue in front of their daughter. She walked over and sat down. Gu Yikun handed the bottle to their daughter; Gu Aixi’s little chubby hands held it tightly, her eyes twinkling as she looked at them.
Gu Yikun sat next to her and asked, "Why didn’t you tell me you were going out today?"
An Junxi moved a bit away. Gu Yikun saw her action and his tone worsened, "You’re avoiding me."
"Yeah," An Junxi said, "I just went out for a bit. Do I have to report every little thing to President Gu? Or are you worried I’m spending too much money?"
Gu Yikun looked at her sharp words, he really didn’t understand where her sudden temper came from.
He tried to be patient, "It’s not about the money. You went out without telling me, had your phone off, and now this... what’s your problem?"
An Junxi retorted, "You tell me first, where were you today?"
"I told you I was busy at the office."
An Junxi felt very disappointed, he still wasn’t telling the truth, "You didn’t go out all day?"
Gu Yikun pressed his brow, "Are you checking up on me? An Junxi, there are so many things in the company every day, do I need to explain each one to you?"
