"Tongtong?"
A familiar voice came through, and Ji Niandong looked up to see Shen Congjun standing nearby, clearly wanting to speak but purposely keeping his distance. She politely nodded and then turned away as if she hadn't seen him, sitting down.
The director had already started speaking; Shen Congjun awkwardly coughed and found a place to sit.
Zhou Yiqing noticed their prior subtle interactions and asked quietly, "I remember you two were childhood friends before? Why aren't you speaking to each other now?"
"We have no connection now," Ji Niandong responded lightly, as if dealing with a stranger.
Zhou Yiqing frowned, somewhat puzzled, "What happened in these five years that you haven't even contacted Shen Congjun?"
"Pretty much!" Ji Niandong reminded him, "Listen to what the director is saying!"
Zhou Yiqing then fell silent, glancing toward Shen Congjun and noticed him looking this way. He quickly turned to watch the director, pretending nothing happened.
Since the script discussion was private, there were no journalists on site. Everyone voiced their opinions freely, and the discussion soon came to an end.
"Everyone can get to know each other; we'll be filming within the same crew later, and a launch ceremony will be held shortly!"
Everyone applauded, indicating the end of the meeting. The director and staff left one by one to prepare for the launch ceremony!
