The witch thought I am a Demon God

Chapter 1040 - 531

On the edge of the Lorin Duchy, the Emperor and the Frankish army stood opposed at the Blue Goose Castle within Lorin Duchy, with war threatening to break out at any moment.

Therefore, both sides were fully prepared for battle.

The dueling ground was not an intricately decorated beautiful structure but merely a small grove that had been hastily cleared, witnessed by six Sacred Wizards and Frank’s Archbishop Lance.

They would bear witness to the outcome of this duel.

Without any pleasantries, the two Emperors ordered their troops to clash, and the armies immediately engaged each other face to face. The Emperor’s force of a hundred soldiers all consisted of Law Knights, who formed a special battle array that supported each other, producing an effect that surpassed that of any Knight Regiment under a singular Law.

Louis XI promptly commanded his Witch Group to unleash a barrage of curse spells and magic that sapped the enemy’s strength. These spells clashed with the Law, creating fog around the battlefield and inexplicably dropping a layer of murky grey dust from the sky.

That was a byproduct of the annihilation between Law and Magic.

However, Louis XI’s Witch Group was soon broken by the charge of the knights, and the witches were forced to scatter, with some already beheaded by the Law Knights. Louis XI, with a darkened face, commanded, "Summon the Hellfire Legion!"

Following the enchantment of some hidden witches at the back, the sky above the grove suddenly darkened, with meteors wrapped in green flames plummeting down. Invincible Hellfire Stone Men rose from the craters and began to counterattack the Emperor’s knights.
