Facing the anger of the God of Forest Deer, Ivita showed no sign of fear. The Hearthstone Witch glanced at Ivita, and her expression, which had been one of fear, suddenly turned resolute as she spoke confidently to the God of Forest Deer, "What’s the matter, are you going to show your true face? If we don’t listen to you, are you going to take action?!"
The God of Forest Deer completely ignored the Hearthstone Witch. At his feet, countless evolving natural forces emerged, and a purple wildflower by his deer hooves bloomed and withered, undergoing several transformations until it, impossibly, bore fruit.
The God of Forest Deer stared at Ivita with eyes filled with terror and disgust. Now he made no attempt to conceal his hatred for Ivita.
He bent down and picked the purple fruit. "Before your kind, who call themselves civilized, set foot in the forest, it was so beautiful. Then you appeared."
The fruit was rapidly withering, and then Ivita felt his spiritual power become bound to the fruit, withering and dying alongside it.
That was nature’s right over life, to grant and to take away life at will.
Before Ivita’s eyes, a vista of wilderness and dense forest appeared, where the wholly intact God of Forest Deer roamed this sacred natural domain.
He hunted all life that intruded into this forest, merely in the protection of plants.
"So that’s how it is," Ivita shivered, his rapidly declining life force and spirit recovering swiftly. "I know what you are now."
