"Mo Heng, damn it!" Pei Qin grumbled, holding back the heat in her flushed face.
He chuckled softly, leaned in, and gently nibbled on her chapped lips.
"I’m starving!" Pei Qin pushed his face away. Her stomach had been growling for a while now, she was famished!
"Alright!" Mo Heng looked at her anger-filled but still stunningly charming face, thought of her breathy whimpers beneath him, and deepened the pressure of his lips and teeth, kissing her again before he went to bring in some food and nourishing soup.
When the senior students from the county school came over to invite Mo Heng to teach there, Pei Qin sat by, determined not to make a peep or utter a single word of support.

Seeing that he was with Pei Qin in the workshop every day and even declined the invitation from the county school, the folks from the school realized there was no hope in getting him to teach there and began to cozy up to Pei Wendong and Chang Yonglin, hoping to curry favor and perhaps snag a lesson or two in the future.
For several days in a row, the two men came home with little snacks and trinkets. There were also people who heard that Pei Qin liked elm seeds and locust flowers, and since the season for elm seeds had passed, they snapped up a bunch of tender locust sprouts and brought them over without any particular reason, just to offer a handful of vegetables.
