Thinking of home, Wang Ting felt deflated, and then even more annoyed. Without questioning Pei Qin, he walked out, got on the carriage, and told the driver to head back to the county.
Pei Qin shrugged her shoulders and sent the peanuts she had prepared off to the county as well.
Both the Drunken Immortal Tavern and Moon Restaurant wanted to figure out the secret to Drunkard’s Peanuts but, despite racking their brains and trying all sorts of methods, they simply couldn’t replicate them and finally, they gave up and agreed to purchase Pei Qin’s peanuts at a high price instead.
After delivering the peanuts, Pei Qin thought about the angry Wang Ting and sent two bags of peanuts to the Wang Mansion. What a bear child, to have such a terrible temper!
When Wang Ting got home, he looked for the adults in the house and mentioned that he wanted to go live with Pei Qin.
Although he had calmed down on the way back and knew it wouldn’t be approved, he still couldn’t help but make a plea.
Not a single adult in the Wang family agreed. Initially, they only allowed him to keep playing because he wasn’t obsessing over his skateboard every single day and wasn’t losing his ambition to playthings. But running off to find Pei Qin and playing daily was out of the question.
Feeling deflated and dejected, Wang Ting left the main hall and returned to his own room. As he looked at all the fine furnishings, his thoughts turned to Pei Qin’s almost empty house, which had just a few chairs and tables, and he found himself increasingly disliking his own room. Even Chang Yonglin could go and stay with her; meanwhile, he needed his family’s permission just to make a single trip to Taiping Town.
