Chapter 3280: Differences in Races
Rui could believe that.
In the time that he had spent among them, he had discovered that no part of their love and bond with nature was fake. Even as he studied the vessel before him, he could tell that she was telling the truth with her mind sense.
"But do the other races actually accept this?" Rui raised an eyebrow. "Like, I would imagine they simply can’t afford to tolerate eleven biotechnology on their continent, no?"
"That’s true, it is indeed a difficult when so many nations and races are so viscerally resistant to our gifts," she heaved a lamenting sigh. "However, it is very difficult to stop us, you might be shocked to learn. Our botanical biotechnology is by far the most supreme. We are light years ahead of peers, to the point that even when we release old blueprints, most civilizations are too incompetent in botanical biotechnology to actually make use of them."
"We’re definitely in that group, we humans," Rui admitted. "In fact, botanical biotechnology isn’t really even a field of technology for us yet."
"Well, that can change, and as civilizations trade technology, that is bound to change." She smiled at him. "As for our seeding program, it is actually partially a success. Many civilizations, like the Imperial Tekvorian Federation and the Evolutionary Army, are absolutely against it and do everything in their power to stop it, but not all other civilizations are this viscerally opposed. For instance..."
She raised a finger. "The giants welcome it. They consume all life and thus the ’replenishment’ that our continents send them is very beneficial to them, so they welcome it and allow it to happen to sate their endless hunger."
Rui’s eyes lit up. "That means you elves can function on Samarkha to a much greater extent than you can on other continents, right?"
She nodded. "That is correct. Samarkha is not the worst place an elf can find herself in. Another group of people who welcome our transmigrate flora are the therianthropes. After all, fauna depends on flora to survive far more than the other way around. Without flora, the entire food chain would collapse, and the beasts would not be able to live in their organic environments. We even have a partnership with them where we send them spores that adaptively evolve to the environment to ensure that it doesn’t disrupt the precious ecosystems they create ,to ensure that their beasts grow up in the perfect environment. The dwarves are neutral. While hybrid species like the skinwalkers and the sentinels are also quite receptive to our flora and welcome the gift."
"...I see," Rui remarked with a fascinated tone. "I guess it’s not that bad to be an elf in this world."
"Don’t do that." She instructed him, shaking her head. "Don’t pity us using your own value system. To you, it might seem unfortunate that elves are not able to use our power as well outside our continent, but we do not wish to dominate others using military power. Or, at least..."
