Chapter 3240: Predictive Suprise
His Martial Embodiment blazed across the Forest of War as he unveiled his Martial Mind.
Even then, he was mindful enough to remember using an Embodiment Firewall to ensure he didn’t simply genocide the elven warriors on the spot.
"Rgh...!" the dark elf he fought gritted her teeth as she struggled to withstand the water that coursed through the world.
"It’s an illusion."
Rui’s tone was calm and composed.
"I’m not surprised that you didn’t realize it yet, considering that hypnosis doesn’t appear to have been weaponized in the true world," Rui continued. "But none of this is real. This is simply how your subconscious mind is interpreting the information of Martial Art."
Her eyes widened at those words as she stopped struggling, gazing at her hands, before simply inhaling.
She gasped. "I can breathe!"
"Hypnosis generally doesn’t work on flora lifeforms because their structure of intelligence and cognition functions entirely differently from that of creatures in the plant kingdom," Rui informed her generously. "So you’re better off relying on flora to navigate my Embodiment."
She closed her eyes as she began communicating with the flora network, before her eyes opened, widening with surprise. "You’re right, the trees don’t register the water or anything like that. I can continue fighting with no issues!"
Rui’s tranquil smile grew wry.
"I’m afraid this battle is already over."
