"That is crude and too direct to have as strong an effect as you would like," she shook her head. "You need something more subtle. However, the good news is that the environmental factor is already in our favor. Human civilization is still very much obsessed with Martial Art, and even more so since the Beast Incursion."
Rui nodded thoughtfully.
Ever since the Beast Incursion began, the gap between a civilian and a soldier had reduced tremendously. The Kandrian Empire was one of the few that didn’t need to trample upon civil liberties, but most nations doled out conscriptions and mandatory training.
It meant that most boys and men were essentially forced to become the equivalent of foundational students of the Martial Academy, along with a solid proportion of women as well.
This astronomically increased the rate of breakthroughs.
It also inculcated a Martial culture in most places, severely cementing Martial Art as the cornerstone of human survival.
This would have a great effect on future generations who had more human blood. It certainly had an effect on the blood children.
The issue was that it was impossible for the blood children to develop a Martial Path because the genetic factor was too strong. Genetics was still the largest predictor of Path, and this kind of social conditioning would only work for more hybrid offspring with equal or more human blood, as they had hemosapien blood.
Thankfully, even with the end of the Beast Incursion, human civilization hadn’t returned to peace and abandoned Martial culture by any means. After all, the Unfolding had opened up new and even greater threats, causing human civilization to become even more extreme in its militaristic culture.
