Chapter 3083: Converging Others
The successful defense from the invasion of the tekvores caused the leaders of human civilization to heave a sigh of relief. The news of a thorough invasion had inspired terror in many a polity, especially of those nations closest to the Esocline Federation. The invading force contained enough firepower to annihilate any ordinary Sage-level powerhouse, making human civilization's doom an almost guaranteed certainty under normal circumstances.
There was only one reason that such an outcome had not unfolded.
"The Emperor of Harmony was right."
It was a collective realization that they had had.
If not for the Emperor of Harmony's decision to unilaterally usurp all Sages and absorb them into the Kandrian Empire, the Esocline Federation would undoubtedly have been destroyed or captured.
This was a chilling realization.
The destruction of the Esocline Federation would begin the countdown for the destruction of human civilization, for it had about seventy percent of all satellites launched by human civilization.
Its destruction would mean the complete halting of communication that webbed most of human civilization together with cheap, high-speed, and high-bandwidth communication across the entire continent.
It would have also allowed their enemies to gain a stronghold on the continent, making their imperialistic efforts much easier.
The dissatisfaction that many nations and rulers had with the Kandrian Empire and the Emperor of Harmony was cut in half the very moment they realized the horrors that could have been, if not for the Emperor of Harmony doing what he had done.
While it was hardly pleasant to surrender so much power to a single man, the Emperor of Harmony was infinitely more preferable to the enemies of human civilization. For what it was worth, he actually lived up to his words and deployed a whopping sixty Martial Sages, which would have been impossible to do otherwise.
What was more significant to everybody was the fact that not even sixty Martial Sages, along with a Transcendent Candidate had been enough to crush the invasion force like they would have imagined.
