BOOK 4 CHAPTER 4 VILLAIN AND OUT

“Who are you!?” Nightwalker yelled as he punched me across the face. Waking me up I spit blood to the side as I groaned.

“What the fuck,” I said, shaking my head. I was handcuffed to a chair. Looking around I could feel the Spiritual Energy of a few other heroes in the dark room. Arms crossed, still in costume, they leaked fear and anger towards me.

“What did you do to Medici?!” Nightwalker roared. I shook my head, trying to get my bearings again. A look at my World Escape said I hadn’t been out very long. But it was enough time for them to knock me out and strap me in one of the cells of Sentry Tower. I looked at my newest notification.

Due to the nature of your role in this world as a Challenger, your

quests will be updated to reflect the choices you have made.

Hero World Update:

Villain

“Shit,” I said, reading it over and over. I hadn’t received a notification like this since My Hero Academia. And for some reason I didn’t really give a shit. These were not good heroes. Every single one of them deserved to be behind bars like their villain counterparts. Granted some villains were more heinous, but they were all scum in my eyes.

“I didn’t do shit to Medici,” I lied.

“Lie,” Truthsuitor said.

“Oh fuck you, Barney,” I said. That was his real name. “Why were you kicked off the Sentries last time? For lying in court because Helios bribed you? Time before that, what was it again? Caught sending messages to underage kids?” Truthsuitor stiffened. One unofficial agreement in the Sentries was to not bring up their past sins. All was right with the Sentries, or at least that was how the saying went. Their creed that they said after every meeting or villain beaten.

“All of you can suck my nuts. Medici too, as she burns in hell,” I said. Looking around the room the heroes didn’t like this sort of talk. “What? Cat got your tongue there Feral Feline?” He was a half-man half-cat, full douche. “You get caught fucking the zoo’s tigers lately?”

“That was grossly exaggerated,” he said, stepping forward. Lady Day stuck her hand out, stopping him.

“Weston, what is going on with you? What did Dr. Death do to you? We saw what happened to Medici. That wasn’t your power. Whatever it is that he did, we can-”

“Fuck you,” I said. My eyes locking onto hers. “All you people do is judge everyone not in your little club. Who was the last vigilante that was showing you up? Jack-O-Lantern? Wore a pumpkin on his head, but no you thought he was a villain and ‘accidentally’ sent him to the hospital. Don’t give me that shit. That was the 4th vigilante you all beat to hell because they wouldn’t join the Sentries. Because they didn’t mind talking about all the shit you all do behind everyone’s backs. Well I for one, am sick of it. Every one of you deserves to be behind bars. How many more hours of community service do you have on your sentence, Missconception?” Her power was psychic related, hence the stupid name. “Whose head did you make blow up again? That school teacher your ex-husband was banging?”

“He has some psychic block on him,” she said. Her hand at her head as she tried to use her Power. I was extra glad I had the Medium Psychic Resistance at that point.

“I am sick of this, and sick of all of you. If you haven’t guessed by now, I am done with the Sentries,” I said. My anger had been boiling for a while. With a groan I broke the chain of the handcuffs as my Berserker mode made me over twice as strong. “I’ll be taking my leave and if I-” I cut off as Nightwalker made a move for me.

Without hesitation I charged my fist with Nen and my Spark Power. Punching him in the face it crushed under the hit and he was thrown into the wall. The other’s backed up with the show of strength. Nightwalker was the 2nd strongest there, but this body was strong, and so was my Nen.

I took a step toward them. The ones by the door flinched. I continued on, and they moved out of my way.

“Weston,” Lady Day said. I was almost surprised by the sadness coming from her, but I ignored it. Walking out the door I headed out of the holding cells and to the elevator. Going down to the ground floor my heart beat rapidly. Old me was ecstatic. I finally said what had been building up for such a long time. So many times he had held his tongue as they condemned villains for acts, when the Sentries were just as full of sin.

On the first floor I wasn’t met with any guards so I left. Ready to start my new life, new fighting style, and figure out the changes to my Spark Power. That was when I received a quest.

Excited to have a new element to play with I decided to stick around for a while in Hero World. This world could use an actual hero. If that meant playing a villain, then so be it.

Before I could dig into a new power, I had to figure out how my status screen and thus my fighting style had changed.

With my most recent forfeit I had lost Chakra from Naruto World. This was a huge loss for me. Unable to make shadow clones, sneak around, channel chakra to my body to strengthen myself. I even noticed I could no longer open the Gates that released my body’s inhibitions to use beyond normal amounts of strength. The gates I used to feel in the back of my mind, simply gone.

But I wouldn’t be in this business if I felt like giving up. My discussion with Mikhail had given me a new aspect on this whole deal. If the protagonists were expected to fail, I needed to be there to make sure those I loved in these worlds didn’t get taken down with the hero.

No longer feeling as mentally tired as I did, I had a smile on my face as I tried to figure it all out. Luckily there was my Conqueror’s Haki from One Piece World. Which gave me an increased amount of Haki, also known as spiritual energy. I could still sense other people’s Haki with Observation, strengthen my own defenses with Armament, and also make people pass out with Conqueror’s.

My Berserker Mode was also invaluable. Received in One Punch Man World I became much stronger when I was angry. Having cured the possibility of losing control when angry, it was invaluable thanks to my Memory Meld. Because I had memories of this world, I had connections, and thus an emotional investment in much going on, allowing me to tap into that more easily in fights.

Nen was probably the most important ability I was able to keep. Having awoken it in Hunter x Hunter world, Nen was your lifeforce or life energy. In layman's terms it was your longevity. The power your body used to continuously regenerate and keep your body going. Nen was an acceptable amount of this energy to use, preventing possible damage.

Able to manipulate my own Nen I could use it to enhance my strength as well as the strength of other objects. For instance forcing my nen to coat a playing card would allow me to throw it, and the simple paper could cut through a brick. Though my version of Nen was the Enhancement variety, I had also been practicing expelling it from my body like Ki from Dragon Ball Z. I guessed now it was time to focus on it, since this would be my new chakra.

The last major ability was my Tremor Devil Fruit. Of all of the powers, this had the potential to be the strongest. Whitebeard from One Piece World had this same power, and was able to be known as the strongest man in the world because of it. Able to force earth shattering vibrations I needed to work on this power just as much as Nen. I knew it had potential to be my strongest move if I figured it out more. ᴜᴘᴅᴀᴛᴇ ꜰʀᴏᴍ novel⚑fire.net

Moving away from abilities I was also fortunate to have my pet, Nibi. She was the two-tailed beast from Naruto World. She had chakra, although I didn’t know of any method to get it from her. I would need to work on my relationship with her, in hopes of getting her more on my side. I summoned the small cat, allowing her to sit on my shoulder. She was about the size of a normal house cat. She had dark blue and black fur, the fur resembled a blue flame fire, especially when she walked, the design of the fur moving with her. Like a small bobcat she meowed at me, still unable to talk as she sat on my shoulders.

My hand gently petted her as I continued to study my screen. I had plenty of bonuses that protected me, and of course my fertility control, which was invaluable to not have any more accidents. Last were my items. The Keychain had two Door Keys inside still, which proved these side halls didn’t require a key. When I figured out my fighting style I would have to go check the Comic worlds out, and hopefully find more keys.

My Hardened Gantz Armor was another great boon. Though the me in this world was strong, since he was a hero-er well now a villain. The Gantz Armor would strengthen any body in any world. So if things were rough before I got the World Lasting Physique in this Hall, then I could at least rely on this. It would make my own strength and defense nearly ten times stronger, although not help my Nen or Haki. At least I wasn’t super weak though.

The last interesting item was my Capsule house. From Dragon Ball Z world, it was a dome shaped home. There was a main central living room with a workable kitchen, couch, and even a television. Attached to the main dome room were three other rooms. Big enough for a bed, closet, and that was about it, there was a very small restroom inside as well. Though I didn’t need it in this modern world, it would help me as I trained.

With the understanding of what was in my arsenal I quickly began my training. Like an old friend, my different powers shuffled through my palm as I thought of them. My haki coated my hand, darkening the skin to a shiny black, then the shadow over my hand receded as it began to glow with Nen. Like a glowing aura surrounding my skin, my lifeforce practically pulsed with power. Dropping the Nen, I brought my Devil Fruit power to the surface. Some subconscious part of my mind able to cause tremors, the air around my palm vibrated expectantly. Ready to be let loose.

“Let’s try to do some good,” I said with a smile as I looked out onto the city below me. A world full of villains trying to use their powers for their own gain, I knew they would be a good target for practicing my powers as I learned who the new me was.
