With Lili gone, the atmosphere was a little awkward, but You Zixi and the others quickly changed the topic.Lili only came back after the dishes were served. She plopped down over there all puffed up with anger, and didn’t spare Chuzheng a good look.
The guys, on the other hand, were pretty polite and apologized to her.
When everyone had almost finished eating, Chuzheng got up and went to the restroom. Coming out from inside, she saw that Lili was right at the door, posture screaming that she’d been waiting.
Chuzheng went out, turned on the faucet to wash her hands. "Something?"
Lili looked at her through the mirror. "Stay away from Brother Chi."
"Why should I?" Chuzheng lifted her eyes and met her gaze head-on. "Who are you to Chi Gui? What right do you have to decide who’s around him?" I don’t even meddle with that! What the hell are you!
Lili glared at her in disgust, and said with certainty, "Brother Chi will never like you."
Chuzheng turned off the faucet and turned to face Lili. "Don’t you have a boyfriend?"
Lili frowned. "What’s that got to do with you?"
Chuzheng: "You’ve got a boyfriend but you’re still worrying about other guys. Body in Cao camp, heart in Han camp—does your boyfriend know?"
Lili: "..."
"I...I don’t like Brother Chi." Lili’s tone got anxious. "I’m just advising you to know your place. Brother Chi will never like someone like you."
"Oh." It’s fine if he doesn’t like me now. In the end he’s mine anyway. Mine!
Lili: "..."
Chuzheng’s attitude was way too calm; it was like all of Lili’s force was punching into cotton, not stirring up the slightest ripple.
Chuzheng flicked the water off her hands and walked out. As she passed Lili, she tilted her head slightly. "You can like him, but don’t stretch your hand too far."
Lili’s pupils shrank a little. "You..."
Chuzheng strode off without even giving Lili a chance to speak.
Lili stood there in a daze. She was supposed to be the one threatening her; how did it end up with her getting threatened instead?

When Chuzheng got back to her seat, Chi Gui was nowhere to be seen.
"Where is he?"
"Outside on a call." You Zixi waggled his brows. "Relax, Brother Chi won’t run away."
You Zixi jerked his chin toward the door. "See? Didn’t run, right?"
Chi Gui came back to his seat holding his phone. Someone beside him handed him something and he put the phone down to take it.
Out of the corner of her eye, Chuzheng caught a glimpse of Chi Gui’s phone screen.
