"These two kids, always meddling. I’m the one in charge at home, but these two ungrateful brats forget the good I’ve done for them as their uncle and now they’re trying to control me. It’s ridiculous, they won’t even let me have a drink," Xu Dalong complained, pointing at the two sisters.
"Uncle, I wouldn’t dare to control you," Chu Biyao said, clinging to her uncle’s arm and murmuring in grievance.
"Uncle, isn’t your heart in bad condition? Auntie repeatedly warned us to supervise you together, prohibiting you from drinking," Chu Mengyao said weakly.
The two sisters saw their uncle was upset, and they felt a bit sad.
Xu Dalong was known to love drinking like his life depended on it. However, once he had health issues, the doctors advised him not to drink anymore, as it could be very dangerous. This led the whole family to strictly ban Xu Dalong from drinking.
"On a joyous day like today, why talk about this? It’s so disappointing," Xu Dalong remarked sulkily.
Chu Mengyao approached Ye Fan and tentatively asked, "My uncle has health issues, the doctor said he can’t drink. Can you see if it can be treated?"
She instantly pinned her hopes on Ye Fan.
"Yes, I can treat it, but we have to get him drunk first," Ye Fan said confidently.
"You really can treat it?!" Mengyao was ecstatic.
"How could I lie to you?" Ye Fan said easily.
