"Looking forward to seeing me for what? With so many pretty girls in the hospital, I’d think you’d be too busy enjoying your good fortune to look forward to me coming," Situ Xin’s words and the expression on her face assuaged the anxiety Xiao Muli had been feeling about her possibly getting angry.
Xiao Muli even revealed a rare smile. "Girl, don’t tell me you’re jealous?"
"What are you talking about? Who’s jealous? How could I possibly be jealous?" Situ Xin, called out by Xiao Muli, showed an unnatural expression on her face as she hastily denied it.
"Not jealous? Then why do I smell a tangy scent all over the room?" Xiao Muli, catching sight of the rare flustered look on Situ Xin’s face, gleefully continued to tease her.
"Hmph, what tangy scent? I think it’s just you who so badly wants to taste something sour that you’re having hallucinations," Situ Xin said, revealing a sly look in her eyes. She sneakily took out a small bottle of sour plums she had made earlier from her space. "Here, I happen to have a bottle of sour plums. I’ll give you one to satisfy your craving, Brother Muli," she said.
