As soon as Situ Xin saw the expression on the models’ faces, she knew they were certain that her identity was no ordinary one. As for what exactly that identity was, they had no clue. But that didn’t matter; all they needed to know was that this designer was not someone they could afford to offend, and that was enough.
"Xiao Xin, that model who just left was the one we found for the finale of the fashion show. Now that she’s gone, what should we do?" Yu Shiyin had been enjoying watching the mistress model get handled by Situ Xin and the others. Yu Shiyin, having been through a failed marriage herself, though she had gotten back on her feet and started a new life, still had a deep disdain for mistresses of that sort.
However, after the satisfaction of watching it all had passed, Yu Shiyin remembered such an important matter only when Situ Xin started to assign the clothes.
"That model was supposed to be the finale’s showstopper?" Lu Juan asked with surprise. She had delegated the model arrangements to Yu Shiyin and the staff of the "Xin" branch. Therefore, she wasn’t very clear about the details concerning the models.
"Yes. That model was recommended by the manager over at the branch. We started looking for models a bit late. Many well-known models had already been snapped up by big brands, and I was worrying about not finding someone well-known enough to carry the show when the branch manager happened to give me her details, saying she was quite famous in BL and had plenty of experience. I saw the manager’s documents and she looked good and experienced, so I agreed," Yu Shiyin said, also annoyed at herself for not having done a thorough investigation before deciding—simply relying on that little piece of paper to make the choice. And now trouble had arisen with one model short at this critical juncture; what to do?
"You said she was recommended by the branch general manager?" Situ Xin latched onto the first part of Yu Shiyin’s words.
"Yes, it was the branch general manager’s recommendation. I still have the documents he gave me," Yu Shiyin said as she was about to dig out the documents from her bag. But Situ Xin stopped her. "No need for that now; I won’t need it just yet. Just keep those documents safe for me, I’ll ask for them when I need them."
"Alright," agreed Yu Shiyin with a nod.
"Xiao Xin, what do we do now? We don’t have enough models, and we might not be able to find suitable ones if we start looking now," Lu Juan said with an anxious look. The success of Situ Xin’s fashion show was crucial for the "Xin" clothing company to break out of Country H and onto the world stage.
"Xiao Xin, do you need my help?" Xiao Muli couldn’t bear to see Situ Xin looking anxious and wanted to help her solve the problem with his own strength. Moreover, everything Xiao Muli did to become stronger and stronger was also for Situ Xin.
