Chapter 106: The Curtain Falls (1)_1
Situ Xin had pretty much guessed the situation by the time the car stopped. She sneered, "I didn’t expect their movements to be so swift. It seems they’re quite scared too."
"Is that so? Then I’ll go have a look," said Situ Haotian, completely unaware of the situation, as he reached to open the car door and step out.
Upon seeing her father about to open the car door, Situ Xin panicked. She knew the person lying outside had to be the enemy’s. Fearing for her father’s safety, but unable to reveal herself in front of everyone, she had no choice but to hold on to her dad’s clothes. As soon as he opened the door and stepped out, the moment he closed the door, she slipped out of the space. The darkness outside, combined with her short stature, meant no one noticed her.
"Dad, don’t go there, they were sent by the opposition. Hurry back into the car," Situ Xin hastily said as soon as she emerged.
"Baby, you..." Situ Haotian started, but was cut off when he saw a figure suddenly appear on the other side of the car. Situ Xin saw it too and narrowed her eyes. If she wasn’t mistaken, that should be a ninja from Country R.
She hadn’t expected Country R to go to such lengths, even dispatching ninjas. Situ Xin thought to herself, "With ninjas sent out, it looks like the matter targeting our few families is no simple affair." Probing with her mental strength, she detected three more hidden in the shadows besides the two lying in the middle of the road and standing by the car. It seemed these two were a distraction, with the other three being the main operatives.
Situ Xin inwardly scoffed, "You unlucky ninjas, running into me."
"Dad, you keep an eye on Boss Sheng. I’ll handle those guys." While Situ Xin was staring at the ninja, the ninja also glanced over, but his gaze wasn’t on Situ Xin; it was fixed on Situ Haoran.
