Chapter 48: End of Trial one
{Now that’s wonderful.}
The Whisper spoke, pulling the attention of everyone. Their eyes lingered on it—fear, hope, desperation—everything could be felt.
{The trial one of a Hollowed Hero has come to an end.}
It said those words, and it sounded like some sort of lie. Everyone was stunned for a moment. Did they really survive? They couldn’t believe it. Death had been so near, and now they were free?
"Are you serious?" Jake asked, wanting to be sure that what he had just heard was real.
{The real goal of the first trial was to make as many people survive without killing the target. There were two ways to finish it without killing the target.
The first way was to fight through all the waves—the hardest method—and the second way was to get everyone to agree with you.
The method that you used to make them agree with you didn’t matter. It could be through persuasion, through force, or any other method that you chose.
In the end, you used threats and power to force everyone to not come near the target. If you had done this right from the start, you could have avoided all the death.
