Legendary Necromancer: My First Summon is the Undead Dragon

Chapter 11: Crypt

"I guess we will have to find out what it is when we get to that village," Jake said. He looked at the body of the man on the ground and walked to it.

"Hmm, I guess I should try this one on him first. I have a few slots since I leveled up," Jake said. He pointed at the body. "Use Rise on him."

Immediately, a magical circle formed underneath the body, and it sank into the ground. After a few seconds, the man came out of the ground. His armor was still on his body, only this time it had turned into a dark purple color with green trims.

He came out of the portal on one knee, his head bowed.

"Greetings, Master," he said and looked up. His dark green glowing eyes shined through.

[Congratulations, you have Risen an Undead Knight.]

The system gave him a notification.

"Undead Knight, huh? I like that," Jake said. He looked at the knight for a bit, and then a thought came into his head—he realized he hadn’t asked something very important.

"System, how do I keep all the summons out? I felt it had something to do with my mana, but I haven’t felt like there was any mana leaving me, even when Drake was out."

[That’s simple. Your brain should be able to figure that out, but I guess you can’t. Summons like Drake and this knight have their own mana source—they are advanced enough, and so they don’t need you to provide. The only thing they need from you is activating mana.

The mana you give is to make the circle for their summoning, and that isn’t too much. The only summons that actually take from your mana constantly are your skeletons. Those ones lack their own core.]
