Ja Su-Jeong slowly put down her tray while Uburka helped her and served the banchan for dinner. She looked down at the table. “Have you achieved your goal, Mr. Gong-Ja?”
I was paralyzed for a moment.
“What?”
“Did you get what you wanted?”
Her voice sounded like a dandelion leaf falling to the ground. If I didn’t pay attention, the summer wind would easily carry it away.
“I’m a little worried about the way you feel right now,” she said quietly.
“You’re worried about me?”
