From Slave to King: My Rebate System Built Me a Kingdom With Beauties!

Chapter 73: Humans Are...

The sun descended and out came the moon, ready to illuminate the world, but Murkfang knew he had to plot his escape from this place.

He knew the others were waiting for him, and he had been gone for too long.

Drekk would have his head if he found out what had happened because there was no way the humans would have taken him if he didn’t cross a line.

Murkfang learned the hard way that Drekk had ensured no information he didn’t want to get out, ever got out.

Murkfang noticed the boy was sleeping, and now was his chance to escape because these guards surely couldn’t be vigilant 24/7.

There had to be a lapse in their concentration, but he knew being caught would be the end.

Murkfang couldn’t return to his previous state, or he would end his life.

But he heard footsteps outside; he had no idea where he was because the boy had kept him inside.

He still had injuries and understood it would make no sense to rush going back, as everyone would already assume he was dead.

He was free to do as he liked without worry; this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Murkfang opened the door to peek out, and the repulsive smell hit his nostrils like an assassin.

He instantly had to cover his nose to prevent the scent from destroying his ability to smell.

This place was horrendous, and for it to affect him this much despite where he came from, it was something.

Murkfang stepped out for the first time in a very long time and realized this smell was almost like that of a decomposing body.

This place was covered in darkness; even the moonlight barely made it through the dense clouds.

Murkfang was glad he had this opportunity to explore this world, but it wasn’t up to a second before someone bumped into him.

"Watch where you’re going, brat!" The man was aggressive, and Murkfang froze in place, hoping his disguise was enough.

He hoped the man wouldn’t pick up on the paint he had used to cover his skin, but he didn’t.

Murkfang fooled him, but something told him it was because of the strong stench oozing from him.

He walked around for a bit, and the further away he got from the house, the better his nose became.

"It is easier to breathe now..." Murkfang said under his breath, but to his right, he noticed a poster barely hanging from the wall.

"Huh?" Murkfang muttered under his breath upon realizing it was the picture of a goblin he had never seen before, and whoever he was, he was wanted for 1,000 gold coins. But he noticed this was one of many wanted individuals, as humans made up the majority of the board.

These posters must be old; the ink was already fading from them, and the paper was barely in readable condition. But the humans made these posters in a way that even an illiterate could understand what it was—pictorial illustration for the important information.

Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been able to discern what was written based on words alone.

But then his eyes came across a being he had never seen or heard of. He was the same size as him, however looked human.

This couldn’t be a child either because it had facial features that even grown adults would be envious of—most notably his chest-long beard.

"What is this?" Murkfang wondered. This couldn’t be a human with a birth defect because all humans had the same bunch of words in what looked like race, but this creature had something entirely different.

"Is this another race!?" Murkfang didn’t know what to do with this information because it meant there were races they didn’t know of.

And he was right; what he was staring at was a dwarf, but they had never come into contact with goblins or attempted to, for they were a race that thrived on bending metal to their will.

It allowed them to craft anything they wanted, but this was the first time Murkfang had seen this.

"Hey, you shouldn’t be out at night," a voice warned behind him.

Murkfang jerked his head in the direction the voice came from before a fist found his face.

Murkfang stumbled backwards, confused as to what was going on, but found himself surrounded by multiple people in uniform.

These were no doubt the same guards who had arrested and tortured him.

Murkfang went into fight-or-flight mode, but before he could speak a word, the boy that had provided him shelter walked between the guards. But what was this?

"Why do you have that on?" Murkfang questioned, but not in their tongue.

He knew at that moment he had been had, because the guards had used the boy to gain his trust and get all the information they could out of him.

Murkfang willingly divulged this information because of the way the boy presented himself.

They knew if they tried to get the information out of him forcefully, it wouldn’t have yielded the same result.

They had to make him vulnerable—extremely vulnerable—and then assign a savior to save him.

How else would a child break through a heavily secured area, cut him down, take him away without being killed?

No one was that imperceivable, but Murkfang’s low IQ came into play here as he truly believed this was the case.

After all, all humans hated him, so it wouldn’t make sense for a human to risk it all.

"Fuck! You guys were right! They ARE stupid!" The boy mocked him, and everyone laughed.

This was a boy trying to rise in the ranks, so he had to do the dirty work.

Murkfang was already on his ass after the punch and couldn’t believe he thought this human was different.

He clenched his fist, taking sand in them before tossing it in their direction, blinding them momentarily.

Murkfang ran away, relying on his sense of smell to sniff out any humans and try his utmost best to avoid them.

But this betrayal was something he didn’t see coming, and it showed how deep-rooted the hatred was.

---

Byung was waiting for Maui; she was yet to return to him, and night had fallen. The days had gone by, and to be honest, all he wanted to do was get rid of his pent-up lust.

This was the thing about good sex—once you have experienced it, it would be hard to not want to engage in it.

Naruz was pregnant, and Byung didn’t want to stick his cock into Naz either, even though his newfound position allowed it.

He might not just be the Baron, but he was on track to becoming the Mogul of this area, which would no doubt put more attention on him from the other regions.

Byung sat outside, enjoying the beautiful moon and coming to the conclusion that Murkfang might be dead.

"Can I join you?" Naruz questioned, and Byung looked over at her. She was barely clothed, and if he looked close enough, he could see her perky nipples.

"Sure," Byung gave her the go-ahead, and Naruz sat right beside him.

"Are you okay?" Naruz questioned. Kragg was right to be worried, but these orcs’ loyalty was to Maui, as she was the one who granted them this life.

Unlike Maui, these two were born without a tribe. Not all orcs belonged to a tribe, and this came with a certain stigma.

"I’m worried about everything..." Byung confessed, knowing there was no point holding it in.

"Everything? There is nothing for you to be worried about. Look at what you’re building here," Naruz was amazed by how much he had accomplished in such a short amount of time.

This included changing the power structure by defeating Drekk and removing the fear that came with his brutality among the other goblins.

"I know, but..." Byung stopped himself from completing the next step that was about to come out of his mouth.

Maui was the only orc loyal to him; she was the only one the system recognized, so he had to be careful around the others.

"It is fine, you’re right..." Byung quickly changed his tone.

Byung knew Naruz wasn’t here to simply keep him company; there was something she wanted to ask but had no idea how to begin.

"You can talk to me, Naruz," Byung reassured her but could see her body language from his peripheral vision.

"I-I can’t stop thinking about that night," Naruz muttered shyly, and Byung was taken aback by this.

She could ask about what he meant by he was the Goblin King or even about the sword he wished to reclaim, but this was what she would rather ask?

"Oh..." Byung muttered, not knowing what else to say as he could smell the pheromones escaping her skin.

She was aroused right now, and with Gribnox in that sorry state, Byung was the only one left to satisfy her.
