Bai He ceased his attacks and retreated a few steps to widen the distance between himself and Lu Hong.
Lu Hong didn’t pursue the retreating figure and asked with a smile, "Are you not going to continue seeking guidance?"
"No need." Bai He adjusted his breath, stood with his hands behind his back, and spoke, "You have proven your strength. You are worthy of traversing the beast tide to reach Jiutong Mountain."
Upon hearing Bai He’s affirmation, Pudas muttered disdainfully, "Really a master at putting on airs."
Despite his low voice, no one present was a mere ordinary person, and all heard his comment.
Bai He coughed twice and then said, "Well, I seem to remember that I still have some unfinished business. Ah, Pudas, we’ll chat another day."
Watching Bai He and his party leave dejectedly, Lu Hong and Pudas returned to the tent.
