"Do not use spells, attack with close combat only," commanded Questasa, recognizing the monsters’ ability to absorb magic, "Mage professions, withdraw! Send in the close combatants!"

Lu Hong stood in front of the church doors, as a blood orb slowly rose above his head.

With the fluctuation produced by the blood orb, the monsters besieging the dark guards turned as if they had seen delicious food, turning their heads and pouncing fiercely toward Lu Hong.

That was the effect he wanted. Lu Hong immediately made a decision and retracted the gathered blood orb.

Now, the monsters were even more frenzied.

So much magic power had been withdrawn on a whim; even the monsters were deceived, surely not a good thing.
