Lu Hong struck down the group of seven Mages with the ferocity of a thunderbolt, which instilled a sense of dread in those who had been watching him, especially after recognizing his identity as Baron Yi Tian. No one dared to make a reckless move.
"Big brother, should we go for it?" a burly man asked, hanging upside down from a giant tree hundreds of meters high.
"Let’s wait and see, let others figure him out first," the man called big brother replied, forcefully jumping from tree to tree and soon disappearing from sight.
Lu Hong glanced over his shoulder at the two women who were spying on him, "Are you here to steal the quest?"
"No no no," the women exclaimed in shock, hastily explaining, "We... we just want to team up with you."
"Team up?" Lu Hong stopped and scrutinized the two young women who seemed timid, perhaps somewhat attractive? Maybe? After all, Lu Hong was face-blind and didn’t really understand attractiveness.
"Yes," another woman said, mustering her courage, "Our abilities are strong. She is a Sixth Level Druid of the Second Transition, and I am a Fifth Level Priest. Should you get injured, we could heal you quickly."
"Alright, it’s indeed useless," Lu Hong probably knew why no one wanted to include these two women on quests. Any capable youth who could make it into this place would surely have some resources at home. Healing professions simply weren’t useful, as most people entering the Endless Forest would have their bags stuffed with Magic Potions by their families; not to mention recovery potions, which would certainly be adequate.
"How about this then, you two stay in the enclosure, and grab quests ahead of time for me while I go out and hunt Demon Beasts? I’ll share half the rewards of each quest with you when I return," Lu Hong pondered. Seeing the women looking rather pitiful, he didn’t have the heart to refuse them outright; besides, as long as the quests weren’t too difficult, he wouldn’t find them too taxing to complete.
"No way!" the two healing women immediately rejected Lu Hong’s suggestion, "We refuse to gain anything without working for it!"
