Hill stared at Lu Hong warily, reasoning that after the blood beast had been slashed by the Fire Master, the man who had escaped from within should not be too strong, but during the instant he made his move, she distinctly felt that he possessed remarkable combat strength.
Cliff slipped into the shadows and stealthily approached Lu Hong from behind.
Before he could strike, Lu Hong was already on guard, and his surging blood qi sent Cliff flying away.
"Ghost Leap!" Cliff steadied himself in mid-air and leaped towards Lu Hong, his dagger heading straight for his heart.
"Blood Qi Shockwave!" Unable to locate the precise position of Cliff, who was still in hiding, Lu Hong could only use this area skill to force him out.
"Dark Stab!" Cliff’s magic power surged, and his dagger emitted a dark glow, effortlessly tearing through the blood qi Lu Hong had released.
"Intimidate!" Lu Hong had been waiting for this moment. A fierce shout exploded, pausing the dagger at his back. Cliff’s mind wavered slightly and though he recovered in the blink of an eye, the delay in seizing the moment of attack caused him to miss the opportunity to ambush. Lu Hong turned around, and the Blood Holy Sword drew a cross that forced Cliff to retreat repeatedly.
"Are you alright?" Hill threw a punch at Lu Hong, intercepting his chase after Cliff.
Cliff took a few steps back and looked down at the wound on his chest cut by the sword edge, saying in a deep voice, "I’m fine."
From the brief exchange, Hill and Cliff became more cautious around Lu Hong. This guy seemed to be quite formidable.
