Jacob exited the private chamber and happened to spot Constant Baron-0, and he could sense her unease and disquiet.

Constant Baron-0 also spotted Jacob, and she was startled before quickly approaching him, and hastily said, "Constant Baron-1 isn’t dead! Furthermore, the Timeless Hourglass has just announced the death of three constant barons, and that bastard has reported my involvement.

"Although there isn’t any concrete evidence, the matter of the three constant barons END is not trifled. I’m afraid the Constant Viscounts, not only just but many, will be involved in this matter, and I’ll probably be investigated. It’s just a matter of time."

Jacob grimaced, "I was too late."

"You knew?" Constant Baron-0 was astounded before she gravely said, "Didn’t you say you have taken care of them? You should’ve told me Constant Baron-1 was not among them. But it’s still strange..."

Jacob shook his head. "He had sent a clone with them. I just found out and was about to tell you, but it seems he moved fast."

Constant Baron-0 realized, "That cunning bastard! What should we do now? This matter is probably going to blow up, and because of that bastard’s report, I’m no longer allowed to leave the Timeless Tower for now, nor can I use my Overlord authority."

’How troublesome. I finally managed to get my hands on a powerful pawn and infiltrate the Timeless City, but with one mistake, everything is falling apart. Should I make my move early?’ Jacob mused darkly as he thought about his options.

"Should we report back to the ’Lord’?" Constant Baron-0 suddenly asked, as she knew that as long as the ’Lord’ got involved, no matter how those Constant Viscounts jumped around, it would be meaningless.

If only she had known that the ’Lord’ was standing right in front of her, and she was only alive because she was useful.
