Early the next morning, Chen Afu kissed a teary-eyed Dabao goodbye and entrusted him to Xue Dagui who carried him off to Tang Garden with Alu.

On seeing the carriage from the Chus’ Mansion, Butler Jiang stepped forward and bowed, "I have been waiting for Miss Afu, ordered by master and mistress."
Chen Afu replied with a smile, "You are too kind, Uncle Jiang."
