My Dungeon Life: Rise of the Slave Harem

Chapter 1683

“Forgive me, this is a bit much for me to wrap my head around.” I spoke with the skill Party Communication, as a little girl sat on my knee, scribbling on some paper with coloring crayons, both she had produced herself from thin air.

I had formed an impromptu party with the girls so we could all discuss this together. Party Communication was better than Slave Communication because everyone in the party could freely chat, whereas Slave Communication only worked between me and individual slaves. I had unlocked this ability at some point as a low-level Hero skill. The skill was only level 25, and apparently, Adventurers could get the skill at a mere level 10. As advantageous as skipping to third and fourth-tier jobs was, I did sometimes skip over some of the most obvious skills. I hadn’t put any experience or work into Hero, but it still occasionally got experience and was sitting at level 33.

I had finally managed to calm the little girl down by giving her a piece of candy, and I didn’t want to upset her again while I discussed the implications of this event with the grown-ups… cough… my women. Thus, we were staring at each other silently while talking using communication, something the little girl seemed to take in stride.

“Dungeons are strange and unpredictable things.” Elaya responded, “They are like living beings in just about every way. As they grow larger and evolve, they push in a direction that helps them with their goals. Most dungeons concentrate on their size. As they grow larger, they not only are safer, but they can absorb more mana. Gaining the strength and power to make your goals a reality is the desire of just about every dungeon.”

“Not this one,” I muttered out loud.

“Hmm, Daddy?”

“N-nothing!”

“Is it so surprising?” Astria asked. “With the fairy spring nearby, this dungeon has never wanted for mana. It wasn’t too long after that it evolved to have a god-level core, meaning that it could produce its energy. Furthermore, all of us have protected this dungeon. It has never felt threatened before.”
