"Are you talking about... this?" The twins were dumbfounded, their expressions identical. It’s rumored that their telepathy had reached the level of shared experiences. So the shock was doubled.
The twins hadn’t expected Roman to want them to deal with a mountain.
The construction camp at the foot of the mountain had long been established, with hundreds of workers busying themselves, transporting stones, firewood, and water buckets.
Time and again, they burned the mountain, time and again, they poured water over it. Even during the war, it never ceased, lasting for half a year. Surprisingly, they had actually chiseled a gap into the massive tenacious structure.
It was a necessary investment, but Roman still felt the progress was slow. Every time he came to inspect, he had a headache for a long time. If he could use external help, he wouldn’t hesitate to ask.
"Is it possible?" Roman asked.
"Yes," the twins nodded hesitantly, "but you have to understand, that’s solid rock, not a wooden board. It’s frighteningly heavy. Our spells hitting it won’t be very effective."
"As long as there’s an effect," he said.
The twins exchanged glances and had to nod, feeling a bit absurd inside.
Roman waved his hand, and the overseers on the construction site shouted, dispersing all the workers to make space for the twins.
