Newtype, the nickname of the most senior member of the department, coordinated the team. It didn’t take long to check. All they had to do was right-click on the character, and basic specs like polygon count would pop up instantly.

Newtype knew how prone CEO Jung was to overreacting. This whole issue seemed ridiculous to him.
‘We definitely unified everything properly last time.’
They had rendered key characters that weren’t meant to stand out at the same quality level as all the background extras.

Optimization was the eternal nemesis of every game developer. No matter how uniform the specs were, performance would vary depending on how well they optimized the game. Optimization issues often caused launch delays, and rushed patches only made things worse.
