Due to the sudden outbreak, the Xiao Kuang Legion had only managed to dispatch a nearby mechanized AI war division to contain the situation, and had not yet been able to redeploy true high-tier powerhouses to the front lines.
Li Xiaofei’s sudden arrival was like a dimensional-level suppression strike against the Reapers at the pollution point. Soon, every last Reaper presence on the planet was eradicated. The human forces stationed at the basin’s central base finally succeeded in destroying the Reaper production point hidden within the metallic base and permanently sealed off the wormhole.
A tidal wave of cheers erupted across the planet.
“Sir!” The same squad commander from before immediately stood at attention and saluted upon seeing Li Xiaofei again.
Anyone with strength of this magnitude was undoubtedly an officer, perhaps even a military envoy dispatched to handle critical combat scenarios. There had long been rumors of military envoys secretly participating in battle under the guise of regular soldiers.
Li Xiaofei returned the salute. Then, he shot into the sky, transforming into a single streak of blade light. Countless soldiers gazed up at that single streak of flowing light in the sky, raising their hands in a synchronized salute.
