It really should be starting, but considering Nate’s level of pride, he wouldn’t deem it beneath him to ambush the Egg Bomb Squad on his own turf, would he?
Gao Yuan was genuinely worried that a fight would erupt, so while he appeared calm on the surface, he was actually on alert as he made his way between Nate and Ralph.
Nate looked straight at Ralph in front of him, and Ralph unapologetically met Nate’s gaze. Then, just as Sirte took a serious step forward, Nate extended a hand.
Sirte immediately halted, while Nate simply said, "You’re very lucky."
Ralph nodded slightly and replied, "Luck is always built on the foundation of strength."
Nate smiled at that, then calmly added, "I must remind you, your intelligence work is not up to par, because I was a lieutenant colonel many years ago, but not anymore, and you are completely unaware of this. This really makes me question the capabilities of Mossad."
Ralph’s eyebrows shot up as he said, "Sorry, we only recognize state actions, only official military ranks recognized by national armies. As for self-appointed ones, it’s not that we are unaware, but that we don’t acknowledge them. If this offends you, I personally apologize."
Nate’s smile grew even wider, then he spread his arms and said helplessly, "You don’t need to apologize, nor do you need to do so personally. You don’t represent Mossad, and their incompetence won’t affect you. My military rank was officially appointed by the Germany Ministry of Defense, conferred by the German Inspector General of Defense himself, so no, this isn’t some self-appointed rank, it’s a formal appointment from the German Defense Forces."
After finishing, Nate sighed, slowly puffed out his chest, and looked up peacefully, putting his hands behind his back. He then declared loudly, "I am a Germany Army Reserve Major General, but whether on active duty or in the reserves, Lieutenant, please address me as General Excellency!"
