Voluntarily or not, Kara found herself synchronizing with Leo’s presence in the middle of the battlefield.

Seeing Kara stunning the battlefield with her presence, Leo barely managed to keep himself focused on the task at hand, yanking out the spine of the second Dragonoid with his cleaver.

As the personal book unfurled a new page in front of Leo, the starry manifestations in the battlefield no longer acted just as a distraction.
Even with the manifested lance being blindly shining as a proper warning, the only Dragonoid still surrounded by plenty of Hellhounds was caught unaware before turning into a meat skewer... A shining dragon meat skewer.

At the same time, the now brilliant barriers emitted an exploding wave of force, shoving them towards the various forms and shapes of lustrous blades waiting for their arrival.

Unfortunately, however, the starworks show didn’t last too long; just after the 13th hellhound barked his last, the blinding stars quickly waned all the way back to their original brilliance and numbers.
As such, the full harvest of Kara’s sudden offensive totalled just slightly over a dozen meat skewers.

Having witnessed all of that while taking the chance to eliminate two more Dragonoids in the process, Leo was lost for words.
It wasn’t that Kara’s actions had been too amazing for Leo to believe.
Although it wouldn’t have been as blinding, he could have done the same thing if he had ignored the consumption of his Enigma.
So, it stood to reason that Kara, whose Ability was based on his to achieve this effect.
Instead, it was rather how this performance came to be and the way it was done that astonished him.
’It doesn’t just stop at copying?’
Just the fact that Star Pupil could copy a Special Ability whole made it one of the strongest abilities in this verse, yet that no longer seemed to be the extent of its scope.
Just like the side perk of being a great learner, aka a ’good student’, the earnest praise of the ’Teacher’ allocated by the Ability also had the effect of an instantaneous buff!
Once again, had it been just any basic buff, it wouldn’t have been much of a surprise, but what Leo sensed during the whole shebang felt more like a glitch.
’It’s almost like making something out of nothing.’
Unless his senses were being tricked somehow, Leo was sure that Kara’s Enigma before and after the overflow was exactly the same. None of her initial Enigma had been consumed.
Somehow, the Enigma she used in her Star Burst state was actually produced through that overflow.
In short, this ’Top Student Star Burst’ was supposedly a temporary infinite mana buff.
However, unlike buffs of that sort, where the user usually ended with an empty mana bar once the buff was over, this buff actually temporarily provided an infinite mana bar completely independent of the original mana bar!
’If this could be spammed indefinitely...’

Not stopping his actions as he ran towards another Dragonoid, Leo immediately tested his theory.

Unfortunately, though Kara’s expression remained extremely bright for the continued praise, no further Star Bursts were triggered.

No matter the kind of fantasy world that he landed in so far, absolute power simply never came at no cost.
’Top Student Star Burst’ was an already overpowered buff, but it most definitely had some form of cooldown or renewed activation conditions.
In fact, as regrettable as it might be to have wasted it like this without any proper planning, Leo wouldn’t be surprised if this buff actually turned out to be a one-time thing.
Utilizing it to turn Kara into a form of infinite energy canon was simply impossible.

Otherwise, such an illogical feat could only be replicated by protagonists who suddenly became ’Overpowered at the start’ and then proceeded to have their way with everything throughout the entire novel.

Remembering a few such novels, the reading of which felt like eating dirt, Leo shook his head to clear his mind and focus on the task at hand.
With only a couple more Dragonoids to handle, successfully defending against the third appeared more doable than ever!
Taking a dozen quick steps, Leo’s cleaver made its way towards one of the Dragonoids’ hearts, but just then...
