Chapter 886 – Comparing flying ships
On the ground, Chen Shi observed the continental flying ship.
Only a few things were misaligned and adjusting them solved most of the issues. Certain parts of the wooden walls deteriorated more than he expected, so that part would have to be redone. The cafeteria was much more frequented than he expected, all thanks to a certain Fox.
Lastly, only two parts of the Array were faded, which was actually a great success overall. He expected things to look worse than this, but it seemed like everyone did their job properly.
'No wonder everyone is trying to impose restrictions on Beasts.' Chen Shi shook his head. If every Beast were like these Foxes, then Human Cultivators wouldn't stand a chance.
The current corruption level of the moving Fox Village was so incredibly low that you didn't even need to worry about recording all materials as nothing would get lost and everything would be found eventually.
'It's a joy to build when materials don't go constantly missing.' Chen Shi was impressed by this.
"You seem overly happy." Moon Aiko was sitting on a nearby rock observing him closely.
"Is that what it seems?" Chen Shi chuckled. He certainly was happy, so much so that he wouldn't mind building another continental flying ship from scratch.
"Mhm." Moon Aiko nodded her head.
"Well, it has been a joy, but you should start thinking about naming this ship." Chen Shi slapped the hull with his hand.
"Why?" Moon Aiko tilted her head. Would everything need a name?
"It wouldn't matter if this was a normal continental flying ship, but this is a behemoth compared to what a normal continental flying ship is." Chen Shi shook his head. "For example, a normal continental flying ship has around 20-50K seats, usually 20 or less, but let's go with that."
He then pointed at the ship he helped to build. "This thing houses over 200k beds, allowing everyone to sleep comfortably and move around somewhat well." He still couldn't believe he was able to cram so much inside without everything imploding on itself.
"Hmmmm..." Moon Aiko nodded her head. This was certainly an impressive feat, but was it impressive enough? With one Movement Array they would be able to move more Foxes than this, and it would also be safer, so it definitely is not as impressive as he makes it seem.
"Well, think about it." Chen Shi waved as he jumped onto the deck, he still had a few rooms inside that he had to check for anything that might be wrong with it.
Moon Aiko leaned back. The dust was no longer being spread from the horizon, meaning that a certain wolf was resting nearby.
However, for some reason, she didn't approach them yet, maybe she found it like a fun game, or maybe she was 'playing' with the Human Cultivators some way back.
Moon Aiko didn't know which one it was, and she didn't mind too much. All that mattered is that she was able to keep up with them and wouldn't get lost.
"How are you doing?" Mei came over, trying to gauge Aiko's emotions.
"It's huge, slow, but nice." Moon Aiko commented about the continental flying ship.
"That's how it's supposed to be. Normally the continental flying ship would be much quicker, but since we have the weight and resources that we have to transport, we are slower." Mei pulled out a few snacks for them to enjoy while repairs were underway.
"How long do you think the Human Cultivators will pursue us?" Moon Aiko changed the topic not so discreetly.
"Bothered by them?" Mei chuckled.
"Yeah." Moon Aiko nodded her head. If they were willing to fly with that half-destroyed ship, then it meant this was very important for them.
"Well, the Fox Village no longer exists, so they are probably trying to gauge how much strength we have left. They also might be thinking about invading the Nightmare Forest, but since most materials are being redistributed or were already destroyed..." Mei shrugged, not minding this pursuit, quite the opposite.
With this pursuit they had the perfect excuse to mess with the Northern Sect again.

"I would like them to just leave us alone, but that seems impossible." Moon Aiko sighed, shaking her head.
"You are really bothered..." Mei didn't expect that since White Aiko had a more detached approach when it came to these things.
"I don't know why, I just don't like them." Moon Aiko shrugged.
"..." Mei didn't want to destroy their flying ship yet, but maybe she should mess with them again?
"I have inspected most things, we will have to rest one more time before we get to the sea, but everything should work fine." Chen Shi came over as they had this strange discussion.
"Nothing is broken?" Mei was taken aback. Most of the time when you had a flying ship, and even continental flying ship, there would be things that break here and there. It happened almost always, so you were expected to test the flying ship before doing anything serious with it.
However, contrary to her belief, this was not the case for her special continental flying ship!
"That's unbelievable." Mei pursed her lips.
"I also don't believe it myself, but there is nothing inherently wrong with it." Chen Shi shook his head. "The only unexpected thing was the hordes of Foxes going to the cafeteria trying to refine those weapons."
Both of them looked at Aiko, like they were talking about her.
"What? They are happy." Moon Aiko waved her hand. "How long will it take to journey over the ocean?"
"About a year?" Chen Shi was the one to answer that, but even Mei nodded her head.
"Wait, year?" Moon Aiko didn't think it would take that long.
"2 years if something goes wrong, which is not too long." Chen Shi added that part, since it was important.
"Hold on, how can it take THAT long? What will the Foxes do?" Moon Aiko was speechless.
Two years above open water, wasn't that too long?!
"You seem startled." Mei chuckled. The time it would take to get over the sea was their estimate, a rough one, but should be accurate.
The main reason being their speed and sustainability of the flight. Someone had to fly the ship and steer it, considering the size, that required a lot more energy than what a normal continental flying ship would consume.
There would be many 'rest' stops, unlike what you could get normally.
"Will it be fine?" Moon Aiko was concerned that something would go wrong.
"Everything should be fine, we even have spare resources, not to mention a lot of materials that we can use to patch everything up if something happens." Mei smiled gently. She planned the journey over the ocean for 5 years, so she was very happy they were able to cut it down so much.
Moon Aiko's brain blanked. She couldn't understand why and how long it would take.
It was just a larger body of water, so why did it have to be so far away?!
'How am I going to get there once I'm finished with my family...?' Moon Aiko didn't think that through, but...
'Right, I will just ask them to drop me on the mainland.' Since they were inviting her, they would also accommodate her!
"We should have enough food and entertainment, especially since someone made those 'plushies'." Mei chuckled. With those plushies, everyone will remember Aiko even when she is not around.
That means she will be a lot more famous and if they are able to join the Beast Sect, her fame will only spread, making it easier for her to live with other Beasts.
'Body Human Stage...' Mei kept pondering about it, but it was useless to think about it too deeply right now. Her only mission right now is to get everyone safely over the ocean.
"Riiight..." Moon Aiko pursed her lips. Those plushies were both a mistake and a good thing. Well, at least those Foxes would have some kind of entertainment.
Mei patted Aiko as she stood up. "It's time to take flight again."
"No rest?" Moon Aiko tilted her head.
"The Elders need to understand that they will be worked to the bone." Mei chuckled darkly. "As such, it's important for them to realise there will be time when they won't be able to rest and thus they will have to learn their limits."
"Hm... That's important." Moon Aiko nodded her head in agreement, not only that-
"They also should get used to working." Moon Aiko believed they were quite the lazy Elders.
"Indeed. There is not enough to do inside the Fox Village since it was poorly managed. Everyone didn't uphold their part of the management since they saw that others didn't need to do that either." Mei agreed that the Elders were a mess, so forcing them to work like this would only be beneficial to them.
"I wonder if they will be upset." It would be fun if they had to deal with it, or at least that's what Moon Aiko thought.
Having someone that you can use for games was always a good idea, especially since they would be years on the open water, making it quite the boring endeavour...
...
The continental flying ship lifted. It was smooth with no issues whatsoever.
Meanwhile, the other flying ships in the distance were scrambling around trying to take flight, but their movement was less than ideal.
"The difference is startling." Moon Aiko commented now that she saw both types of flying ships in action.
"En. The Southern Sect has better flying ships than the Northern Sect, but even then, their Elders are much better trained." Mei had to add the last part since it was impressive at how smooth the flight was.
"Can't we do something about them?" Moon Aiko nudged Mei. She really wanted to make another hole in the Northern Sect's flying ship, but she also understood that Mei was planning something.
"Soon, not yet." Mei smiled sinisterly.
"Fine." Moon Aiko pouted, sitting down, leaning against the railing wall.
"Everything is so nicely crafted." Moon Aiko was really impressed by the quality of the whole continental flying ship.
Maybe it was possible to finish this flying without the Foxes getting bored, but then again, then she would be fine thanks to the weapons and cafeteria, right?
'Let's hope nothing bad will happen.' Moon Aiko gently nodded her head. There were some issues that she didn't want to think about, but her brain refused to listen.
"Do you want to rest inside? It's not like they can do anything about us." Mei beckoned Aiko as she gently caressed her back.
"Should I?" Moon Aiko was seriously considering it.
"It won't hurt you." Mei smiled and Aiko finally agreed to it.
