Chapter 842 – Testing the waters…
Yue was able to see what spread in front of her.
Those were endless plains with huge citadel. Behind the citadel the colour changed. Darker colour, with dots spread everywhere.
Looking more closely, those were bodies. Fresh, as if they died recently.
The sight was disgusting, nauseating. The corpses were sprawled all over the place, like there was a huge battle.
One part was mostly untouched. Sure, it was covered in some kind of dark liquid, presumably blood, but the building itself was untouched.
A strange feeling. Yue felt like she would improve a lot if she killed what was inside that thing, but at the same time she wanted to return to the safe area.
There was something inherently sinister about what she was feeling. Like she was standing in front of an endless wall that she could pass, but it was not just that. The wall kept going towards her, and she had to keep running from it.
"I don't think I will be of much help..." Yue said seriously. Whatever was inside was powerful, so much so that she didn't know if she could even hurt it.
"That is fine." Aiko shrugged. "Let's just flatten the place first and see what we can do about it.
"Right." Yue nodded as she picked her brush. Ink poured out of her brush, as if it was already prepared beforehand.
The Ink spread creating a large mountain painting, but the mountain was up in the sky, unsecured.
The mountain started to fall. The target? The lonely house in front of them with the sinister liquid around it.
*Click*
It was barely audible, but something left the house.
The mountain covered their sight, so they couldn't see what it was, but the mountain should flatten it.
*Sliiiiick*
The mountain parted. No, it was split in half.
*Crash**Crash*
Two booming sounds as the mountain crashed on the side, stirring the blood around, yet the small house was untouched.
"..." Neither of them spoke. It was obvious that what they were against was too powerful.
Yue painted a few more mountains, but nothing changed. Each one of them was split, creating a mountain around the home.
"What are you planning?" Aiko felt like Yue was aiming for something.
"Nothing. It's just been a while since I used this..." Yue hesitated for a moment, but her body would recover if she went back to the safe area. "Just teleport me back when it crashes down."
"?" Aiko was confused, but would naturally listen.
Yue cut her hand. A pristine red liquid flowed out.
"??" Aiko couldn't understand it, since this place didn't really have a concept of open wounds for them, not to mention the colour would be drained when you went there.
The red liquid mixed with the ink, creating a sludge-like blob.
It was a technique similar to a Life Art, where you would burn your lifespan to get temporarily stronger quickly. It had great demerits, but Yue wanted to see how it compared against that monster.
The blob was thrown high up into the sky. Darkening it instantly.
It seemed like the clouds crackled with lightning when a roar suddenly sounded from those clouds.
A brilliant and colourful Phoenix was descending in a nose dive.
The mountains around the monster? A perfectly placed furnace.
*SKREEEEEE*
The Phoenix cried out as it crashed, swallowing the place with its flames.
*Clap*
Yet a single clap cleared those flames. The house was slightly singed, but Aiko already teleported them back before the monster could react.
If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
It was clearly upset, since its house was burned, but his enemies just disappeared...
...
"Phew. Yeah, I feel better here." Yue kept lying on the ground, not thinking about anything. Her Life Art? Obliterated with a clap. "Good luck with that monster."
"You know I was not trying to think about it." Aiko clicked her tongue. Maybe clearing those villages was easier than a single monster...
"Feels like I'm doing some kind of World Boss." Aiko sighed, sitting down.
"World Boss, huh?" Yue felt like that was a fitting description.
"Anyway. Just don't get too attached to this place." Aiko didn't know how sturdy those outer walls were, so it was hard to say what would happen next.
She picked a few more outfits, since it seemed like there was a long battle in front of her...
...
"So..." Aiko was on the plains. It didn't seem like that guy would leave his home area, but it was better to be prepared.
Her outfits included those from before and with few additions.
Large scale [Cataclysmic Mage Set] that would allow her to use large AOE spells at discount. A [Barbarian Set] to test the limits of that fucker among few others.
"Right..." This was the finale. The last battle and she would be allowed to leave this place.
"I don't even want to think about what happens next..." Aiko groaned. She would have to explain what happened to her partners and companions, clear those Clans and-
"You know what? This place was actually nice." Aiko... didn't want to work...
...
She used the [Barbarian Set] with a battleaxe and walked towards those mountains.
The walk was bothersome, but at least the slide down into the 'crater' was fun.
The enemy spotted her, but didn't immediately kill her.
Aiko had quite skimpy clothes, similar to swimsuits, just made out of leather.
Normally, you were supposed to be jacked, but Aiko's smooth skin would make those Amazonians laugh.
"Let's go!" Aiko jumped, trying to strike him with the battleaxe. A simple contest of strength.
[You have died.]
"..." Aiko was sprawled inside the safe area.
"You are back already?" Yue was startled. She didn't stand up yet and Aiko already finished the-
"I died." Aiko sat down. Changing outfit for teleportation one and disappeared.
"..." Yue scratched her cheek. Normally one would absolutely die and vanish outside this safe area, yet Aiko shrugged like it was nothing and went out again...?
"Am I really the only one norma-" Even before finishing her sentence, Aiko appeared again. This time she had the same outfit as the one used for her visit at the library inside the castle.
"..."
"..."
Neither of them spoke. Aiko just changed outfit and teleported again.
"She didn't hear me complain, right...?" Yue had a bad feeling about it.
"I did." Aiko appeared again and Yue blushed.
'W-whoa, so pretty...' Yue liked these clothes a lot, even though they were questionable in nature.
Aiko was wearing the [Elf Set], used for ranged combat with a bow.
She had a short bra-like shirt, with short skirt and many belts adorning her thighs. Her boots reached just below her knees and her hair was tied back.
"I can't believe that fucker can just flick arrows like bullets..." Aiko clicked her tongue before disappearing again.
"Let's not say anything..." Yue was convinced that silence would save her a lot of trouble...
"Maybe I should visit the clothing store again..." She was seriously considering it.
-----
"Right." Aiko stood in front of the [Cataclysmic Mage Set]. It didn't look too different to the [Spatial Mage Set], just not as long.
"Alright." She would just submerge the whole area in [Fire Sea] and see what else she could do.
Climbing the mountain again. She practised so much that it didn't take too much time.
She immediately started to cast the magic, creating a huge ball of water.
"Let's test this." Aiko let it go, igniting it along the way.
The huge ball crashed and flooded the place like a large tsunami.
*Clap*
A clap sends the water backwards. Straight at Aiko.
"WHAT THE FUCK!?" Aiko cursed. Sure, he could clap back the Phoenix, since it was made out of fire, but this was water! Or oil! Or something that burned!
She immediately recalled before that wave hit her.
"..."
"..."
She met Yue's gaze, but this time she was silent, just staring towards the clothing store.
"If I see you in those outfits, you are getting tied and played with." Aiko was frustrated and she didn't really have a place to go on, so she just warned or threatened Yue about what would happen if she did what she was planning to do.
"..." Yue looked away. She just had to be discreet enough to not get caught.
Something in which she was definitely skilled...
...
Next step.
"EAT MY FRIDGE!"
Aiko was on top of the mountain, casting the [Gate of Capital B].
Fridges, bathtubs, beds, drawers, pans, knives, and so on, were flung towards the enemy, but he just punched everything away.
"ALRIGHT!" Aiko connected all those gates into a single one, sending a house towards him.
The enemy paused for a brief moment before completely shattering the house.
"TAKE THIS!" Aiko was sure that the next one would do something.
*CHOOOOOO*
A freaking train suddenly rode out of the gate towards her enemy and it did hit it.
It took a while, but Aiko could hear those trains shattering under his fists.
"Heh. This train is endless." Aiko smirked. This would definitely wor-
[MP: 0/1,980]
The train suddenly stopped appearing. While the train itself was endless, Aiko's Mana... was not.
"Ah, fu-"
[You have died.]
"-ck." Aiko appeared back inside the safe area completely speechless.
"Seriously, what is that enemy made out of?!" Aiko complained, but her complaints wouldn't change anything.
She immediately went into the clothing store to see if she could find anything useful.
Stepping in, she completely ignored the naked Yue that only had an apron on her, while her Spirit Slime was massaging her.
Going through the different outfits, Aiko gave up and went to the smith.
There she picked the heaviest armour with weapons and teleported.
...
A metal giant stood at the top of the mountain, staring down.
The enemy looked towards his enemy that came back each time like a roach, frowning.
"Isn't it time to stop? You can't defeat me."
Maybe for the first time in pretty much ever, the enemy spoke.
His voice was not bad, but Aiko was already sick and tired.
"I can assure you that if this doesn't work, I will do whatever bullshit I can to end you." Aiko said with conviction. It was obvious that she would really throw every possible bullshit at him until she was sick of it!
The World Boss sighed.
It was time for a showdown...
