Chapter 179: Ritual with Daphne! Part-2
{Ritual Room 3, Dungeons, Greengrass Manor}

{Rigel’s POV}

"Come in, we don’t have much time to do this," Adorabella said as she beckoned us into the room. My eyes swam along the curves on display and then focused on the pentagonal ritual space. It was marked with blood, similar to the last one I used. The other ingredients, though, stood out.
’Those look like blood and organs of magical creatures,’ I thought. Quite easily because there is no other way that a large yellow eye could belong to any human. The slit in it revealed its reptilian source. I looked at it with apprehension. There was a lot of mana condensed in the eye.
"Wasn’t this supposed to be a core expansion ritual?" I asked. I didn’t like the changes made to the ritual. Who knows what changes, even something minor, could have disastrous consequences.
My hesitance should have been quite clear as Adorabella came forward, an old-looking book opened to a set page in her hands. With a smile on her face, she extended the book to me. I looked at her confident smile and then down at the page. The ritual that was written on the ground was described in the book in quite a detail.
"This is the original manuscript of the core expansion. The runes drawn on the floor are the same ones that they have in the Slytherin dungeon. As you can see, the original ritual has space for five core components to be added; you didn’t do it in Hogwarts because the chances of getting all five ingredients are very difficult." She explained as I looked through the book. Every rune I couldn’t even see with my eye was detailed on the pages.
