Vol 2. Chapter 11
‘No matter how much she grumbles behind their backs, Linna will never go against the Temple or the Empress Dowager.’
The fact that she still showed up to see the Empress Dowager after getting up at five in the afternoon said it all.
‘Just earlier, she looked like she was about to apologize first instead of questioning the situation. No matter how much of a brat she acts like, the power dynamic is still very clear.’
But honestly, this was all part of my plan too.
Ray and Zahid’s plan was never supposed to fully succeed anyway. Because the Empress Dowager didn’t get as worked up as Ray needed her to, thanks to the Sky Pocket.
‘It’s because I broke the Sky Pocket that she lost her cool like that and started shouting about the basement.’
Before regression, Zahid ended up just going down, saying, “Her Majesty the Empress Dowager summoned me,” but that kind of lie didn’t work well.
So in the end, he tried to force his way in, clashed with the Holy Knights, and got really messed up.
“Zahid! Why, why are you so hurt? Huh?”
“I still succeeded. So it’s fine.”
Before regression, he came to us wrapped in bandages, grinning through it all, and I just kept crying when I saw his face.
“Oh my god... What are all these burns...”
