Chapter 1639: Great Harvest
Li Yao was taken aback: "Oh? Aren’t you researching the principles of the Ghost Ship’s flight and its ability to traverse space? Why are you concerned about other things now?"
The Magician smiled awkwardly. "Commander, you may not know, but while our Magician team consists of top experts in Magic and Alchemy, we’re not well-versed in Undead Alchemy. We’ll need the Alchemists from the Undercity to join us for deeper research before we can achieve results. However, this Magical Protective Shield is also very important. Just think, Commander—what’s the difference between having a Magical Shield on a warship and not having one?"
"I get your point. But installing the Magic Shield—will it affect the Ghost Ship in any way? You have to understand, we’re about to launch our assault on Daisom. Any unexpected issues would be disastrous. After all, the Ghost Ship might play a crucial role in this assault," Li Yao questioned.
Having a Magic Shield has obvious advantages. As long as the shield’s energy isn’t depleted, there’s no need to worry about the main body being damaged at all. Even though the Ghost Ship itself has formidable defenses, the soldiers on the deck aren’t protected without a Magic Shield.
"Rest assured, Commander. Installing the Magic Shield won’t conflict with the Ghost Ship’s structure. I can guarantee it will only enhance its performance," the Magician assured confidently.
"Alright, you make the arrangements. It’s not like we’re short on funds," Li Yao waved his hand dismissively.
"I promise you’ll be satisfied with the Ghost Ship’s modifications," the Magician said excitedly before heading off.
"How’s the harvest assessment coming along?" Li Yao asked the key question. While the Withered Sun Legion was wealthy, it still couldn’t afford to have no income. This time, whether it was capturing the Tower of the Windwalker or seizing the Ghost Ship, a significant haul of supplies was inevitable.
The Tower of the Windwalker was the second-most vital Undead stronghold after Daisom. Its importance surpassed even that of the Solar Corona Temple. After all, it was an excellent port where ships supporting Daisom from the Lich King docked.
