Thunder rumbled across the sky. Lightning cracked through dark clouds, illuminating the monstrous face of the Abomination... and casting a flash of light on the figure standing before him.
Clad in a flowing red cape, golden hair tangled in the wind, and gripping a fearsome weapon—the meteor hammer—stood the Crown Prince of Asgard: Thor Odinson.
After the Avengers’ party, Thor had originally intended to return to Asgard. But recent events on Earth had spiraled into chaos. After what happened with the Hulk, Thor decided his comrades might need his help. (Alright—truth be told, Jane Foster was also part of the reason.)
And so he stayed.
"Hulk?"
Thor stood at the wrecked gate of Prison Island, narrowing his eyes at the green behemoth lumbering out from the debris. For a moment, he mistook the monster for his old ally.
After all, Bruce Banner had gone missing ever since his last rampage. Tony Stark and Reed Richards had tried everything to locate him—but the Hulk had simply vanished.
Seeing this enormous green figure again, Thor instinctively thought, Hulk has returned.
But something felt... wrong.
