Chapter 227: Moving Dorms
After nearly three months apart,
he had returned to the unit, yet things seemed the same yet different.
Yang Peimin had moved back into Shen Yiguang’s previously cramped quarters, but what was different now was that almost all the neighbors had moved to the new dormitory building.
It made her feel like she was living in a building all by herself.
It was terrible, she was afraid of ghosts.
When she arrived at her quarters, it was past three in the afternoon, a time that usually bustled with activity, but now it felt profoundly solitary.
Yang Peimin said to Xiao Xu, "I’m thinking of moving some stuff over to the new dormitory today, and I’ll need your help to get there."
Xiao Xu agreed readily, "No worries, Sister-in-law. Our boss made us promise, your concerns are our concerns. Just let me know what needs moving, and I’ll handle it. There are other brothers waiting on standby, we can even move large furniture."
Yang Peimin nodded, "I don’t dare sleep here alone at night, I’d like to move everything over if it doesn’t bother you."
Xiao Xu asked her to pack up her things a bit, and he would find a couple more brothers to help with the move.
Yang Peimin nodded hurriedly, quickly securing her belongings with sacks or ropes because Xiao Xu had mentioned that the new dormitory had nothing, so she needed to bring things like beds and tables, otherwise, she wouldn’t have a place to sleep that night.
