Soon, the admission notices were sent out. The college entrance exam had been difficult this year, and the probability of a student from the internship class getting admitted was just one percent.
Shen Yixiang, however, just couldn’t accept it; although many others had failed, two from her own family had succeeded, and she was unable to come to terms with this. She locked herself in her room.
Bai Hehua then asked Shen Yiyue to go and check on her.
Meanwhile, the Shen family didn’t seem too concerned. Shen Erniu remarked, "She’s just like this for the moment, she’ll be fine tomorrow. It’s nothing serious. Many didn’t get in, and there are plenty who never even attended high school. She ought to be content."

The older generation in the Shen family was extremely happy that Bai Hehua and Shen Yiyue had been admitted to university. They felt as though their ancestors’ graves were sending up green smoke, and they walked with a spring in their step, feeling particularly honored.
They immediately asked Bai Hehua to call Shen Yiguang in town to tell him the good news.
Bai Hehua had this in mind as well, and wanted to ask him if the Military Family Building had been completed yet. She planned to move in, and—before school started—she wanted to arrange the house to her liking.
