Chapter 191: Shopping on the Street
Yiguang had finished preparing the items, making Minmin’s part much faster.
The following day, they stayed inside the dormitory without going out and almost completed these tasks. Then they just waited for Yiguang to take the introduction letter to the porcelain shop for the batch of boxes.
Seeing that the cosmetics were essentially ready, Minmin felt free to do other things.
Yiguang had bought her a train ticket for the 5th, the same day as her Cultural Troupe comrades and even in the same batch, likely considering it would be better to have companions as they were also returning to Q city.
Yiguang thought about those awful encounters she had had on the train when she was coming here and was extremely worried.
Minmin was happy with his decision, feeling much safer being with Qiao Ying and the others.
So Minmin discussed with Yiguang about inviting everyone for a meal before leaving, including their neighbors. She had been there quite long and had received so much help from everyone that it felt right to invite them over for a simple meal.
But Yiguang gave her a look, his eyebrows slightly raising, "Wife, are you sure about hosting a banquet in our tiny room? Tell me, who do you plan to invite?"
Minmin listed for him: "A few sisters-in-law who spoke with me, and not the distant ones. Your close comrades too, see who’s around, let’s invite them too. And there’s Qiao Ying, the head of the Cultural Troupe, and Minister Xia..."
As she continued, Yiguang held her hand and chuckled, "With the list you’re naming, we wouldn’t fit everyone even if we didn’t set up tables. And who’s going to cook the meals? Wouldn’t it be you? Could you manage that? How would you even arrange those dishes? Do you have a plan?"
