The Prodigies War

Chapter 2349 Carving a Bloody Path

That altar...

Frowning, Lin Xun delved deeper into the memory of the Emperor wraith.

Suddenly, a vast and majestic dao altar appeared in his mind. It was an enormous structure spanning thousands of feet and arranged according to the principles of the Nine Palaces Formation.

The altar was constructed from mysterious sacred materials, its surface stained with vivid crimson blood. Even after countless years, the blood had never faded, remaining as striking as ever.

Dark mist churned in all directions, and countless Emperor wraiths surrounded the dao altar. Some were giants clad in tattered armor, some were Kunpeng skeletons as huge as floating continents and some were sword-wielding corpses wrapped in demonic qi.

It was like a scene straight out of a nightmare.

Atop the dao altar stood two figures.

One was a cross-legged monk, seated upon a black skeleton, his body draped in a tattered, blood-red kasaya robe. In his hand, he clutched a broken and mottled bone rosary. He bore the solemn air of a Buddha yet there was something deeply unnerving and eerie about him.

On his smooth, bald head, a blooming black lotus was imprinted. The lotus seemed to pulse with life, emanating an astonishing and bewitching radiance.

His eyes were closed, his body unmoving, his blood-red kasaya robe was in tatters, and he seemed as though he had long since passed. Yet the aura that surrounded him was suffocating, like the sovereign of hell.

The second figure was a faintly discernible silhouette, exuding a terrifying aura that made all of heaven and earth tremble in fear.
