With My System, I Can Even Tame Gods

Chapter 1585: Harbouring ill intentions

When the righteous sect disciples were finally released from the mist, there were grim looks on their faces.

They turned back to look at the mist surrounding the pavilion once more, but there weren’t any that lingered here any longer. It was as if they were afraid that if they remained here any longer, something would happen to them.

In fact, it even seemed like some of them had been traumatized by the mist itself.

But that couldn’t be blamed on them considering the injuries that covered their bodies. These were injuries that completely covered their entire bodies which showed just how much they had been beaten.

However, that was just the surface injuries.

Under the surface, there were internal injuries that they were suffering from as well.

The one that controlled the mist and beat them while they were in it really didn’t hold back at all. It was almost as if they had some kind of grudge against all of them.

But if that was the case, then they just couldn’t narrow it down at all.

After all, it was impossible that they had all offended the same person like this.

Regardless of who the person who controlled the mist was, the most important thing was getting out of this place so that they wouldn’t be targeted by them anymore.

After what they had experienced, none of them had the same idea of grouping up to cause trouble anymore. They now knew that if they really did this, all that would happen is that they would receive another beating.

The more beatings that they received, the more time that they had to spend on recovering.

The more time that they spent on recovering, the less time that they had to explore these ruins.

It was not worth it to sacrifice the treasures that they might obtain just for this.

Right now, it really was better for them to act humble like the one who controlled the mist urged them to act.

However, there were a few that had other intentions.

As they were leaving, there was this look that flickered in their eyes.

It was clear that they were harbouring ill intentions.

...

"Are we really going to leave things like this?"

There was a clear frustration in this voice, but there was no one that said anything in response to this question. Or rather, it seemed like no one was able to say anything since there wasn’t anything that they could say.

Even if they weren’t satisfied with this, the other side was just too powerful.

Not to mention that they controlled the mist array of these ruins, which was something that was on a completely different level.

This mist array was an array from the Dao Sect, so there was no doubting the power that it possessed. Even if the elders were here, they wouldn’t be able to do anything to this mist array.

So it wasn’t as if they could do anything even if they wanted to do something.

Even so, there was this aggrieved mood that filled the air as they continued to sulk in silence.

Finally, the one that had asked the question said, "I have a plan, I think that we can..."

That person didn’t even get to finish what they were saying before they were swallowed up by the mist.

Everyone that had watched that person disappear couldn’t believe their eyes as they stared in shock at the spot where that person had been just now. But the only thing that they could see was the mist that suddenly appeared in that place.

Even though there was only mist that was here, there wasn’t a single person that actually went forward to try and help the one that had disappeared. Instead, they all started moving away from that spot when they came back to their senses.

The fear that was in their eyes showed that they didn’t want to get involved with this matter regardless of what happened. The only thing that they were thinking about now was how to get away from this place as soon as possible.

In their minds, they had abandoned the one that had been kidnapped by the mist.

...

"I told you to be humble, didn’t I?"

The Mount Hua Sword Sect disciple who had been kidnapped by the mist couldn’t help trembling when he heard this voice.

One moment, he had been talking to the other righteous sect disciples.

The next, everything around him had disappeared and he appeared in this enclosed space. For a moment, he saw the mist appear around him, but then it was replaced with these walls.

He had already used his sword energy to break through these walls, but he found that it was just too hard for him. It didn’t matter how he tried to break through, he wasn’t even able to make a single scratch on these walls.

Then the voice suddenly rang out which made him freeze.

When the Mount Hua Sword Sect disciple came back to his senses, the first thing that he did was try to find the source of the voice.

Since he was in this small enclosed space, he didn’t think that the owner of the voice would be that far away from him. He believed that the owner of the voice might even be inside the box with him.

Which was why he suddenly released his sword energy all around him.

It didn’t seem like he cared about what happened, he just wanted to destroy every single inch of the space around him.

But that didn’t happen in the end.

"Where’s it going?" The Mount Hua Sword Sect disciple was shocked when he saw what happened to his sword energy.

The moment that the sword energy made contact with the walls, it seemed to disappear without a trace. However, it soon reappeared not long after disappearing.

The problem was that instead of flying outwards, it seemed to be pointed at him.

In a panic, the Mount Hua Sword Sect disciple raised his sword once more and released even more sword energy to block it. With him going all out, he was able to stop the sword energy from hitting him.

It was just that something took advantage of the gaps in his technique and hit him.

Not to mention that it wasn’t just a single thing that hit him, it was multiple attacks that hit him all of a sudden. And they all came from different directions, so they didn’t exploit the same gap that he revealed.

"Damn!"

Not only did he not hit the one that had trapped him, he was now being beaten up once more. At the same time, he had to waste his energy to block the attacks that he released.

For the Mount Hua Sword Sect disciple, this was considered torture.

But that wasn’t the end of it as more sword energy appeared from the space around him.

"How? I didn’t do anything!" The Mount Hua Sword Sect disciple said in an aggrieved voice.

Even so, the sword energy rained down on him and he had no choice but to raise his sword to block it. At the same time, there were attacks that snuck through and hit him from all different directions.

It really was a one sided beating with the way that these attacks rained down on him.

The worst part of all of this was the fact that the same voice still said, "Be humble."

The way that the voice kept repeating was almost as if it was trying to hypnotize him.

"Fight me like a man!" The Mount Hua Sword Sect disciple called out, but the only response that he received was the same repeating voice and sword energy raining down on him.

There was nothing that he could do as he had to accept this punishment.

But it wasn’t as if he was the only one that was receiving this punishment.

All over the Dao Sect ruins, there were others that had been suddenly kidnapped like this.

After all, Lin Fan wasn’t foolish enough to miss the looks in their eyes as they left the dormitory. He had been watching them the entire time, so it was hard for him to miss this.

Once he identified the ones that still wanted to cause trouble, he didn’t waste any time in trapping them like this.

With the drawing pen that he received, it was actually easy for him to create those spaces that he trapped them in. At the same time, he was able to use the pen to create the attacks that were raining down on them.

But the main reason that they couldn’t break free was all because of the mist.

With the mist array confusing them, the only thing that they could do was to believe that they were really trapped like this. They couldn’t even try to figure out a way to break free all because of the mist.

"With this, they should be humble and not cause any trouble."

Lin Fan wasn’t actually worried if they did cause trouble since he knew that it would be easy to deal with the righteous sect disciples. But if they were to cause trouble, he knew that it would be with the Heavenly Demon Sect disciples.

He was still a member of the Heavenly Demon Sect, so it could be considered his duty to help them.

Not to mention that he was a bit guilty since he was the one that had told Han Ba to go crazy which most likely caused them to gather like that.

Teaching them to be humble was the only thing that he could do alleviate these feelings.
