Chapter 1567: Not lacking energy
When they arrived at the law enforcement pavilion, the Fire Fist King naturally looked even more confused.
He didn’t understand why Lin Fan’s group had brought him to a place like this.
Especially since this place seemed even more dangerous than the place that he had been trapped in before this. It felt like this place had something that was meant to suppress anyone that came into it.
But in the end, he still went along with Lin Fan since he didn’t think that Lin Fan would bring him here for no reason.
When they arrived, the Fire Fist King was shocked to find who was waiting there.
"So it seems like you survived after all."
"If you survived, why wouldn’t I?"
The moment that the two of them saw each other, they already started arguing with one another. It didn’t seem like they lacked energy at all with the way that they clashed against one another like this.
Though anyone that had eyes could see that these two weren’t in the best condition.
Both of them had suffered at the hands of the traps in these Dao Sect ruins, so they were far from being at their normal level. This was the time that they were supposed to rest, but they were arguing with each other like this.
Still, it was good to see that they had this much energy.
At the same time, both Lin Fan and Ye Qing Huan knew that this was just the way that these two old men showed concern for each other.
They were too embarrassed to actually show proper worry about each other, so they could only poke at each other like this to show their concern.
These two really didn’t know how to show their feelings even at their age.
Though the big part of it was that they couldn’t really show their feelings considering they were elders of the Heavenly Demon Sect.
But there was a point where they took it too far.

It looked like they were about to start a fist fight with how far they were taking it.
It really didn’t seem like there was a lack of energy from the two of them.
"Alright, stop that. You have to recover."
The reason that they listened to Lin Fan so easily was because they also knew that they had taken it so far. The only reason that they couldn’t stop that easily before this was because they had to think of their pride.
That was just the relationship between these two old men who were rivals and friends at the same time.
Once they calmed down, the two of them didn’t say anything as they started recovering again.
Both of them knew that they had to recover as soon as possible since this place was too dangerous to be injured like this. If they didn’t recover soon, then there was no telling what would come next.
If something big came, they really wouldn’t have a way to deal with it.
After the two of them fell silent, Lin Fan’s group didn’t stay there any longer.
Instead, they actually went back to where the waterfall was.
Ye Qing Huan and Xiao Mu didn’t want to come back to this place since they didn’t think that there was anything else here for them. However, Lin Fan insisted on coming back to this place since there was something that he wanted to do.
But it wasn’t as if they had any ideas of what it was since he didn’t tell them anything.
Once he was in front of the waterfall, he didn’t act right away. At the same time, he didn’t actually ask Ye Qing Huan to help him with cutting through the waterfall.
Instead, Lin Fan just looked at the waterfall itself as if he was trying to figure something out.
After a long silence, that was when Lin Fan suddenly pulled out a weapon and released a slash.
This weapon wasn’t special at all, it was just a normal sword that could be found anywhere. At the same time, the slash that he released was just a simple slash that didn’t seem to have any force behind it.
As expected, there was no response from the waterfall.
The waterfall was a powerful one that was filled with spiritual energy, so it was only natural that it was hard to break through. The moment that the slash made contact with the waterfall, it disappeared without a trace.
It didn’t even seem like there was a single drop of water that was displaced because of this slash.
However, Lin Fan didn’t seem bothered by this at all as he continued observing the waterfall.
Ye Qing Huan and Xiao Mu didn’t say anything, but there were traces of worry in their eyes as they stared at Lin Fan. Anyone could see that they were wondering if there was something that had made him go crazy.
They were wondering if there was an array like the confounding array from earlier that was affecting him.
This became even more clear when he started randomly swinging his sword at the waterfall in front of him.
There was no rhyme or pattern in the way that he swung his sword, it was as if he was just swinging his sword wildly at the waterfall in hopes of discovering something.
It was because of this that they were wondering if Lin Fan had cracked under the pressure. After all, this was completely different from the way that he had acted previously.
It felt like he was grasping at straws at this point.

That was why he was swinging the sword in all these different ways. He wanted to see if there was something hidden behind this waterfall.
It was all because of the way that Ye Qing Huan had cut the waterfall and the feeling that he felt because of it.
The way that Ye Qing Huan had cut it was the way that anyone would have thought to split the waterfall. A vertical slash like that would be the perfect way to create an opening that one could move through.
But that vertical slash had brought them to a place where all of the elders had been trapped. So it was clear that this wasn’t the right way to slash through this waterfall as instructed.
Before this, Lin Fan thought that it was all because the way that they slashed through the waterfall was wrong. He thought it was because there was some kind of special item that was needed to slash through this waterfall.
It was just that this didn’t make any sense at all since it would be too troublesome.
Which was why he was using all these different slashes now.
It didn’t seem like there was an answer at first, but then he was able to figure it out in the end.
It was actually a coincidence, but he was able to see the discrepancy that appeared when he slashed at a certain angle. That was when Lin Fan figured out the trick of this waterfall.
"So in the end, it really isn’t about how much energy one puts in. It’s all about the proper form and angle when slashing at the waterfall."

A bitter smile appeared on Lin Fan’s face when he was picked up by her and he wasn’t the only one that was picked up. She picked up both Lin Fan and Xiao Mu at the same time.
After picking them up, she said, "Just focus on slashing, leave the rest to me."
When she put it like this, it really made it clear what she was planning to do.
Since Ye Qing Huan was this determined, the only thing that Lin Fan could do was go along with it.
