Chapter 317: Hand-in-hand
Cammy stepped out of the car with a heart so full it could burst. The booming beat of party music filled the air as they pulled up to the main entrance, making her grin instantly. Laughter and chatter buzzed in the background, echoing from the backyard.
Edward and Andrea were already waiting to greet them, standing tall and excited.
"All the guests have arrived, Madam," Andrea said cheerfully as she helped Cammy out of the car. "They’re all gathered in the back garden."
Cammy gave her a teasing smirk. "I just hope those two troublemakers didn’t turn the house upside down while we were gone."
Greg rounded the car, reaching for Dylan’s hand, full of energy and excitement. "Alright, you two," he said with a grin, "ready for your big welcome-home bash and the baby’s gender reveal?"
Cammy and Dylan exchanged an excited look and nodded at the same time, grinning like partners in a surprise mission.
Hand-in-hand, the little family walked toward the backyard, where bursts of blue and pink filled the space in playful swirls. Balloons bobbed in the breeze, baby animals in party hats decorated the jungle-themed setup, and long tables were filled with food and gifts.
"Dylan!" two familiar voices squealed in harmony.
Cassie and Cole came sprinting toward him, arms wide. "Welcome home!" they chorused before grabbing Dylan and pulling him straight into their group—completely ignoring the adults in classic kid fashion.
Meanwhile, the ladies—Grace, Eve, Ellie, and a few more—flocked toward Cammy like a wave of warm hugs and glowing smiles.
"There she is! The glowing mommy!"
"Look at you, beautiful and radiant!"
