Overlord: The Multiverse

Chapter 241: Meeting

Kagaya sat in the quiet of the Demon Slayer Headquarters, his calm yet authoritative presence commanding the attention of the Hashira gathered before him. The room was filled with a heavy air of anticipation, though no one spoke out of turn. Each Hashira stood or kneeled, awaiting their leader's words.

Kagaya began, his voice soft but firm, "With Alex's help, we will kill Muzanette in this generation."

The statement carried weight, yet none of the Hashira flinched or looked surprised. They had already faced Alex in combat—or rather, a mock battle that had been nothing short of awe-inspiring. The man's sheer strength, speed, and precision had been enough to overwhelm all of them simultaneously, a feat none had thought possible until they experienced it firsthand.

"This foresight of mine," Kagaya continued, his pale eyes scanning the room, "has rarely been wrong. It tells me that Alex's arrival, along with his companions, marks a turning point in our struggle. Muzanette's time is nearing its end."

Tengen leaned casually against one of the wooden pillars, his bright, flamboyant outfit clashing with the somber atmosphere. "No surprise there, Kagaya-sama," he said, a hint of his usual theatrical flair in his tone. "The man fought all of us and didn't even break a sweat. If anyone can tip the scales in our favor, it's him."

Kyojuro nodded fervently, his fiery hair catching the light. "Indeed! His strength is unparalleled, and his resolve is true. He is a worthy ally in our fight against Muzanette."

Sanemi snorted, folding his arms over his chest. His scarred face twisted into a skeptical frown. "Don't get ahead of yourselves. We've seen his power, sure, but that doesn't mean we can trust him completely. And what about those two women with him? Shalltear and Lupusregina, was it? We've no idea what they're capable of."

"True," Giyu said, his voice calm and measured as always. "They haven't shown their abilities yet. But Alex wouldn't have brought them here if they were liabilities. He seems calculated in his actions."

"Calculated or not," Sanemi retorted, his tone sharp, "we don't know their intentions. For all we know, they could turn on us the moment we let our guard down."
