Chapter 226: Yuki
"Oh, that shit, so cool." I murmur as I see Tanjiro using Hinokami Kagura against Rui.
But despite the sheer intensity of Tanjiro's attack, I couldn't let him take Rui down. Its not like Tanjiro can kill Rui, but Hashira's are on their way, so I need to test Yuki's strength before that.
No, not yet. There was something I had in mind—a test of strength, something far more meaningful for my newly turned vampire bride, Yuki, the former Spider Demon Mother.
As I glanced over at Yuki, she stood silently beside me, her new red eyes shimmering with a quiet intensity.
Next to me, Shalltear watched with intrigue, her eyes flitting between Tanjiro and Rui. She tilted her head slightly and asked, "Is that the boy you spoke of, Alex-sama? What was his name again? Tanjiro, right?"
I nodded, not taking my eyes off the battle. "That's him. And his resolve is as fierce as his flame."
Behind us, Lupusregina watched the clash with open excitement, as if it were a sport. Her eyes were fixed on Tanjiro and Rui, but I sensed she was just as curious about what would happen next. She leaned in slightly, her expression eager.
"So... when do we jump in, Alex-sama?" she asked with a mischievous smile, already anticipating the chaos.
"Soon," I said, keeping my gaze locked on the battle. "Very soon."
Tanjiro's blade descended, aiming to end the fight in one last, flaming strike.
I knew it was my moment to intervene.
