Chapter 563: Fort Briggs
North City,
North City was a city in the northern region of Amestris and served as the state military command center for the area. As the General, Alexander outranked anybody in the Northern Region. So, he had no trouble finding a place to land his Chinook helicopter.
They just found an empty park and landed there. The police were fast to come but the police were also under the Military and hence they were under Alexander too.
After landing he simply took out his jeep from inside the helicopter and left for the Briggs Fortress. It was a cold and snowy terrain but still, the car he had made worked perfectly. It even had a heater that was missing from cars of this era.
"Dobby, who is going to inherit the Armstrong family's inheritance?" Alexander asked.
"It has not been decided yet, boss. From what I know, both Major General Olivier Mira Armstrong and Major Armstrong are contending for it." Dobby replied.
"Hmm, Major Armstrong is too thick skilled to really rule his family effectively. Let's see what this Major General Armstrong is like. I hope she's not the 8-foot tall female version of Major." Alexander said while he, unfortunately, imagined a female version of Major Armstrong.
After an hour of driving, they finally reached Briggs Fort, which was nothing more than a dam that was not situated on a river. Fort Briggs was an Amestrian Military installation that lies on the border between the countries of Amestris and Drachma.
Stretching across a narrow valley between the two countries, the Fort protects Amestris where the mountains cannot. The soldiers of Fort Briggs were known to be the finest soldiers. It shared this reputation with the soldiers of the Eastern region. But, while the Eastern soldiers were known for their attack abilities, the Briggs soldiers were known for their defensive abilities.
