As I returned to reality, I collapsed to the floor, writhing in pain. My entire body was in agony. A searing heat, as if my skin were being burned, and a crushing pain, as if my body were being torn apart, coursed through me. I looked down at my skin. It was red and inflamed.

This was the aftermath. The aftermath of the game world affects my real body.

I already knew about the aftermath because, after having as much sex as I wanted in the game world and returning to reality, I would feel a soreness in my genitals.

And, of course, I also knew how to deal with it.

As I activated the skill, my body instantly returned to normal. My reddened skin regained its original color, and the crushing pain disappeared.

The "me" in the game world felt like some kind of avatar. But I couldn't be sure. The occasional aftermath that followed after ending a game was the source of my anxiety.
